Mari listened quietly to everything the Alpha said. So, they prized strength, though from what she had seen and heard, strength and intelligence ran closely together for this race. You could not be strong and an idiot, you wouldn't hold your place in society long enough.
He did not speak of his women with contempt, simply matter of factly. He didn't seem to be hiding anything, though there was the inevitable puzzlement over the differences between their people. Perhaps she could quiz A'lex on her people before they turned to Logic to better understand.
"Am I to understand that the... what was it you said? The P'Rotek, " she pronounced the strange wordly strangely, but kept that smile on her face - not once had the Alpha asked why she would be here, even when she was obviously not in the same physical condition as the other two,"Have advanced capabilities?" her smile became uncertain, her forehead crinkling with a little embarrassment, "These P'Rotek, are they more powerful? Were you truly lucky to escape them?
She avoided naming just how powerful a ship the Chimera was, she wanted to measure just how dangerous - compared to their present company - a potential threat could be.
Then she asked, 'And what of other worlds? Surely, being able to travel the stars means you meet new people, new planets. How do you deal with them?
She flashed him a toothy grin, "And what do you make of our people, Alpha?"
