Star Wars: Return of the Sith

Doprekka looked to his master and then shook his head, folding his arms into his robes.

(I do not know Master, yet I have had visions, of a great menace being constructed...another, Death Star. Deep in the galaxy, Yet I do not know which, I only know that it hides near a single moon, and there are no planets nearby.)

He lowered his head, sorry that he could not inform his master of more.

Raine

The creature was gaining on me, but slowly, and it grew distracted at times. I guessed it was more curious what I was than interested in me as a threat or meal.
I moved quickly anyway, not wanting to tempt it to change its viewpoint on my presence.
Where the ground had been a steady balance of soggy wet and thick muck, it was growing harder beneath my soles, and the glowing fish were beginning to thin out some and being met by glowing birds that swooped by from various small and unhealthy-looking trees growing out of the swamp.
Soon, I found the thick muk replaced by a more solid ground beneath the surface of the water. As I moved further, my ears monitoring the sounds of the creature behind me, still following, closer now, but still a safe enough distance away, I found my feet striking jsut ground here and there, not swamp or water at all but solid dirt.
As I moved ahead, finding my flight less restricted by the muck gripping at my feet, I found myself on almost solid ground, feet padding on dirt for several paces before realizing I had reached what I thought was the end of the swamp.
I heard movement around me then, not heavy steps like those that followed me, but light ones, moving in rapid succession about me, and in several places.
I stopped, hand finding the lightsaber on my belt, ready to attack.
THe movements came closer, all around me, and I saw a group of little creatures, all on two feet, standing about me with spears, their gray skin hairless and thier eyes large. On thier heads grey little antennae.
I looked around, trying to get a count on how many were there, but finding it nearly impossible.
There were too many to count so quickly, and as I stood there, I realized the creature behind me was gaining much faster now.
I drew the blade as one of them stepped quickly forward, not raising its spear to attack, but raising one of three fingers on its small hand and pointing to me, muttering words I could not understand.
"I don't..."
The creature's eyes grew wide as it hurried backward, raising its spear then, but seeming to point it to something behind me.
It had caught up to me. That much I knew.
No time to play nice with the little guys.
I ignited the saber, the red light spilling across their wide eyes, scaring them as much as the thing behind me did.
The large beast's feet thudded against the ground only a few feet back, stopping there.
The little things stared, too afraid to move it seemed.
They did move, however, as I turned, looking to find behind me a creature that stood well over ten feet in height and stood on two legs as well, though the legs were thick and appeared to be less than agile. Its paws hung to either side, large and made for swatting, edged by long nails, more like a dogs than anything else. Its face was a blur in the darkness, but I could see horns on its head, and its chest was a contortion of exoskeletal bone, edging its way through skin.
It ducked its head and let out a roar.
Running was no longer an option, and getting to a place safe enough from the creature seemed impossible.
Fighting was the only option.
As it drew back its left paw to swat, I sprinted toward it, the blade sending a red glow against its green skin. As the paw came swinging down, I rolled beneath it, then turned and swung, severing the arm at the elbow.
The creature let out a long howl of pain, then turned and races back in the direction it had come from. I watched it go, standing alert should the thing change its mind and return for another round.
When i knew it was gone, I switched off the saber and turned to move forward again.
The cretures had returned, thier spears in hand, and were surronding me again.
Well, I thought. Let's see where this leads.

Jedi Master Duu'Raan

"A Death Ssssstar?"

Duu'Raan was troubled by this. A Death Star...

"We will meditate on thisss as well." Duu'Raan looked upward to Doprekka. "Your sskillss are increassing, my Padawan, for you to have ssseen thiss before I. Sssoon you wil be beyond my teaching."

Soon they came to the hangar, and the small ship that Duu'Raan called his own. It was a sleek, silver, craft. Extraordinarily fast, but with little weaponry, and those were used to destroy incoming missiles more often than not. It was the ship of a Jedi.

Duu'Raan walked up the ramp, and headed toward the cockpit. He called up the navigational charts, and closed his eyes, opening himself to the Force. Where to go...

Daelon

Daelon let his hold on Kelson go, again confronted by his own personal demons as he looked down at the ground before him.
"... Raine." I whispered, knowing he would know what I was saying. "I feel so guilty, and... and... what if she's dead? Her blood would be on my hands..."

Jedi Master D'Rack Fran'tok

The Renegade jumped out of hyperspace back into real space just in front of Coruscent. The Star Destroyer had just come from Yavin IV, where D’Rack had been meeting with the other Jedi.

D’Rack looked out of the veiwport and saw the Avenger leaving the Shipping Bay. It had just been completed.

D’Rack closed his eyes and reached out with the force, and felt Gwan on board the Avenger.

D’Rack looked over to the commofficer. ”Inform the Avenger that I am going on board.” He turned to walk off the bridge. “Oh, and tell the workers on the Death Star to stop construction while the plains are being reviewed.”

Kelson stood shakily, looking over at Daelon in a rare moment of affection and empathy, the robe rustling quietly as the arm lifted from within and a hand was placed on Daelon's shoulder.

The look cut his padawan off. A look of caring and wisdom, warmness and compassion...things rarely ever shown in this Jedi.

"Daelon, what happened was no fault of your own. You could not have rescued her. It is good you took priority though. If you had chased after her, you may have only managed to get both of you killed...although I sense she is not yet dead. Do not blame yourself young padawan."

Darth Azraiel

" Certanly Tynan, maybe we can continue the discussion we were having earlier."
I looked over at the table, where the Jedi had left my lightsaber sitting, unsecured for anybody to reach. I extended my hand and my saber flew to me, and I clipped it to my belt. I then turned to my escourt, the young jedi woman. She had her saber out but had not yet activated it.
" Jedi Moedwyn, I have allready pledged my safe conduct while I am a visitor here, you need not fear me. As you well know, fear and agression lead to the Dark Side. I will further enforce what I said earlier, I will lift no hand to harm anyone while I am here, and leaving my blade on a table may cause some harm to one unwise enough to examine it. Besides, a lightsaber is only a tool in the hands of a trained Sith Lord, the weapon is me!"
I turned my back on the young jedi and walked over to Tynan, who was cliping his saber onto his belt as I approached.
" So, tell me of your past, warrior."

Raine

Better than expected, I thought.
I still couldn't understand the little creatures, but they proved unhostile easily enough. In fact, they seemed grateful that the beast was gone.
They'd gathered around me at first, loweirng their weapons, then poking me with thier little fingers, as though to ensure I was real.
Then, one of them tried to communicazte, pointing to me and muttering some odd word that was nothing more than jumble to me.
After several attempts at communication had failed us, it took me by the hand and led me further in the direction I'd been heading. After we'd closed about forty yards, he lead me suddenly to one side, where a large old oak sat, and near its base, a hole in the ground. I had to get down on my hands and knees to fit through, and still found it a little too snug. After a fair distance this way, the snug passageway gave to an opening, where light spilled from above. I glanced up to see torches set into the cieling there, and high on the walls.
More of the creatures waited there mostly surprised to see one not of thier kind. I waited for the spears again, but the one who'd led me waved its arms and spoke to them, calming them.
Now what? I thought.
My thoughts were quickly answered.
I sat back as the one who'd led me quickly recounted the story, making this clear by waving its hands as though it had held a lightsaber and done the deed instead of me.
When he'd finished, one in partucular looked to me, examining me until it found something in particular about me that held its gaze. Then, its eyes grew wide. It turned to another, whispering in thier odd language, then the other disappeared into another side cavern.
The small group of creatures became very excited all of a sudden. When the missing one returned, it carried a small pouch, which appeared quite large in its hands. It brought the pouch over to me and handed it to me.
I opened it, tried to peer inside, but couldn't find enough light, then reached in and took hold of what I found first. Something hard, yet brittle, like a bundle of thin sticks.
I carefully removed it, eyeing it for a moment before realizing what it was and dropping it suddenly.
A...hand?
A skeletal hand in fact.
But human?
I examined it again without picking it up, then decided that it was.
Another item lay in the pouch, if not more than one. I could tell just by the weight. I eyed it carefully, as though the item might jump out and bite me. Then I reached inside and pulled the item out.
"Oh, my God," I whispered.
The creatures muttered to themselves at my response, the one who'd brought me here imitating my words.
"Ah, maaa Gaaawww."
I dropped the pouch and examined the item. A lightsaber. Old, but still a lightsaber. I glanced downa t my belt, eyeing my own, and realized that they had put the two items together in thier heads.
Then, something else dawned on me.
I held the item up, holding it before the one who'd brought me here, and said. "Saber."
I pointed to it, then said three times, "Saber."
"Saaabbbeee," it responded.
"Saber."
"Saabeer."
I nodded.
"Saber."
"Sabber."
The language game would be a hard one, but what were my choices. These creatures had seena human here, had known it well enough to have its saber and, I assumed, its postmortem hand. Which would mean that the man/woman might very well have died here, leaving behind a vessel that might still function, or at least contain parts to help mine function again.

Mogo

We wound up speaking with Beegas until it began to get late. I was getting to like the guy, and as some of his buddies came in, I realized that these people had thier act together, in one way or another. I wondered if any of them had heard from Kerra, but decided not to ask. There was no telling what type of trouble she'd gotten herself into.
Things wound down a little, and they began to talk about "the cause," as Beegas had put it.
Bravery, I thought at one point, realizing what these people had given up to support a better cause.
I shook my head then, deciding to excuse myself. They good conscience was getting to me. What type of smuggler was I? Worrying about what was right?
I was growing a conscience, and the feeling was not one I was liking.
Nonetheless, when I reached my quarters, I'd come to a decision. This job was the last one, if we even finished this one. I didn't like the idea of helping those that would hurt others the way the Sith were known to do.
I wouldn't be a part of it. I'd collect the money, say thank you, and split.

Nastasia Vish

She'd spoken well with Luke, and for quite some time, nodding at every word he spit out and wonderig how much he really knew about the Jedi. So far, he knew very little about the base, or at least hadn't mentioned much, and he talked constantly once he was moving.
The other boy knew quite a bit, when he could get a word in, he would mention things, but he spoke shyly, and carefully.
A padawan, she reminded herself. He wants to speak, but knows to keep many words to himself. Cautious, even so young.
She knew a decent amount about the Jedi, including how they'd robbed her family of both Boba and Jenga Fett, but she'd only seen them up close on a couple of occasions, and often, not as one invited among them. Though she'd had no poor dealings with them, they always eyed her carefully.
Something bothers these ones, she thought, but dismissed the idea. It wasn't her concern, not her job here.
She probed the two, wanting to know which Jedi they knew and liked best, and how long they had each been here. They answered in turn, Luke rambling on about Tynan (did the boy ever stop to breathe?) and the other answering cautiously, refusing to mention any names, but smiling while mentioning his "master."
She'd suggested a game then, totally unrelated to the place, to take things in a more pleasant direction.
She would achieve this goal, though it was a shame. She was beginning to like the children, and the place here, even the pilot they'd saved had returned to her mind as they spoke, eventhough he'd already served his purpose.
She was beginning to regret things having to happen the way they would, but it was her duty. She was also beginning to wish it didn't have to happen here. A shame, such a nice place to disrupt, and she guessed it would certainly be a disruption.
She guessed, or rather feared, that he two new friends weren't taking to the place as she was. They were weak, she felt, and they would cave under the wrong type of pressure. Orin seemed to have a kind streak somewhere very near the surface, and Mogo, well, the Jedi had to have some money. Finally, she parted from the boys, thanking them for the time they'd spent with her and telling them she hoped she'd see them later.
It was time to check up on her friends, to ensure they hadn't gone and done something stupid.
she was actually sad to part with the boys, but it was something she could deal with. She guessed she might see Luke later that same day, or perhaps that night.

Tynan

He wasn't one to talk about himself, much. He eyed the Sith, and the long lightsaber hanging at his belt. Then smiled. No matter how strong the man was, he was on a planet full of Jedi.

It couldn't hurt to speak to him about his past. Unfortunately, it was quite well known, anyway. One of the problems with being relatively famous. Not many former Jedi take on the role of bounty hunter, after all.

"I was orphaned at a young age on this very planet. My parents were killed by some of the local wildlife." He didn't elaborate. One of his earliest memories had been seeing the bodies of his parents, mutilated. It still disturbed him.

"I lived here for years alone... until Luke Skywalker picked this planet to base his Jedi Academy on. Even then I avoided this place at all costs. Moving away from here as soon as they arrived. A few more years passed." Tynan could tell the Sith knew he was holding back many things, but didn't care. His secrets were his own.

"Eventually, I was found. Master Skywalker had led some apprentices on an expedition... to 'find' themselves, or some such thing." Raine had been among them. She was the same then as she is now. Or was... she's still missing as far as he knew.

"Master Skywalker felt the gift in me, and took me in." It hadn't been that easy of course. He had tried to fight them off...poorly. It had been young Raine who had caught him, wrapping him up in the Force, and hanging him upside down. It would have really pissed him off if not for the fact that she had never so much as cracked a smile while doing it.

"Eventually, Master Skywalker took me as his Padawan. Mostly due to my 'diffucult' nature." He smiled. Damn, he missed the 'old man.'

"The Jedi were concerned about my beliefs, and my temper, and Master Skywalker thought he could keep me in line. And he was right. Everything went smoothly, until his death. He died rather mysteriously." An edge crept into Tynan's voice. Luke Skywalker had been more than a Master to him, he was the closest thing to a father figure he ever had. Hell, he was the closest thing to a father half the Academy had. "I still believe he was murdered, but there was no proof. The Council forbade me to continue my investigations." He shrugged. "I told them they were fools. That they stood here in their temples contemplating irrelevant issues while the galaxy fell down around their complacent asses. Then, I left."

He moved toward the door, and opened it. "Bounty hunting gave me a way to fight back, and still make a living. And the rest is history."

He gestured to Azraiel to follow him. "And what about you? What is your story, Darth Azraiel?

Darth Azraiel

“My story, that may take a while, for my life has not been a peaceful one, and has had some… complexities.
I was born on Coruscant shortly after the battle of Naboo, when the Sith revealed themselves to the Jedi for the first time in a thousand years. My father was Alcon Carradas, a sergeant in the Chancellor’s guards, but he was also secretly being trained by one of the greatest of the Sith, Darth Sidious. In the traditions handed down by Darth Bane, he was never apprenticed, that was left to Maul, then later Tyrannus and Lord Vader. My mother I never knew when I was young. She died by my father’s hands when I was five or so. It was then that I began to know hatred. My father trained me at a young age to become the perfect weapon, so quite naturally when I was old enough I joined the Empire, and became one of the Emperor’s Royal Guardsmen. My father was one of his Jedi Hunters. Those Jedi Killers you encountered, those were his invention. I know what you are thinking, did I participate in the Great Purge, and the answer is yes. I have killed Jedi, before I knew what the consequences of taking a life were. I moved up in the ranks of the royal guard quickly, and soon I was considered to become one of the Emperor’s Sovereign Protectors. The was a catch though, I had to prove my loyalty to the Emperor, and that I was worthy. So it came to be that in the throne room of the Imperial Palace of Coruscant, I faced my father in combat with the lightsaber I had just learned to construct. We fought for what seemed like forever and then finally my father used his abilities, and drained the energy cell of my lightsaber, as I knew he would eventually. When he moved in for the kill, I hit the hidden switch, extending the poisoned blade from the hilt of my saber and drove it completely through his skull in my rage. At that time I proved myself to my Emperor, and my true training began as my fathers blood cooled on my hands.”

I turned and looked at Tynan. “ That is but the beginning of my story. It does continue. Do you still want to hear it?”

Jedi Master D'Rack Fran'tok

The ramp for D’Rack’s Shuttle opened with a soft crack, it hit the floor. Looking around as he walked down the ramp was his Storm Troopers, waiting for him, their master.

In the middle was Gwan, walking over to D’Rack. Master, greetings, welcome aboard the Avenger.”

“You have done well Gwan… This ship will be a powerful asset in our fleet.” D’Rack looked around the Landing bay, his mined eye smiling with glee. “But we have a problem; th…” Gwan cut him off.

“Yes, we do… The problem is y-yo-yo-… that the Death Star is on hult, why?”

“I have plains…” D’Rack started to walk. “And take your hand off your lightsaber.” Gwan was shocked, how did he know?

Tynan

"I would. Yes."

Tynan couldn't help himself. He was fascinated. Even if the story was a lie, it was a creative one.

Raine

After long, exhausting attempts at communicating, I'd managed to gain some leadway. They understood saber now, and they'd caught on that my name was Raine, or at least that the word Raine somehow applied to me. I'd also managed to tell them a short story of how I came here, not getting too many of the details across (even the less than fine details) but still feeling as though I'd told them something that they had followed more than one or two words.
"Jedi," I said, holding the saber in front of me and waving my other hand around myself and the weapon, trying to imply the whole of the image.
"Eddd-eye," they repeated.
I pointed to the one closest, who'd led me here and looked questioningly at it.
"Eeet-do," it replied.
"Eato?"
"Eet-do," it replied, pointing at those behind it.
They're Eet-do, I thought. That's something I didn't know when I got here.
"Okay," I muttered, nodding.
It nodded back, "Okay."
I thought it was time to try something else, now that I had some room to breath.
I held up the hand and the saber that I'd found in the pouch, and pointed to them.
"WHat happened to him?"
They looked at me for a moment, blinking.
"Where is the man?" I held the items up, pointing to them.
The one nearest to me looked to me thoughtfully, then lowered its head slightly, its three fingers of one hand touching its chin lightly. A moment later, it turned, shouting to the others, pleased with its conclusion.
They muttered to one another in their odd language, then it returned to my side and took hold of my hand. They led me impatiently down another long dorridor, again far too narrow to move quickly through, then we arrived outside again, but in another part of the swamp. I got to my feet and stretched, enjoying the freedom of not being cramped anymore.
One of them, the one that had ordered the pouch be brought I was almost certain, led me oward where the swamp lie, pointing out over the water's surface.
It muttered a few more words in whatever language, but I didn't understand until I looked down at its hands. It held them up, referring to the sky I guessed, the put two fingers together and place them above its head, then moved them slowly downward toward itself, then down and touched them to the ground and pressed both its hands together and suddenly splayed the fingers.
"Explosion?" I asked.
It had no idea what I meant.
It pointed out to th swamp.
Splash, I thought. It wrecked into the swamp.
The creature stood to its full height, then put ona serious face, imitating something I thought. It held out one hand, curling its fingers as though its hand were a claw, then stared out at the swamp, raising its hand.
A jedi had come here, and crashed into the swamp, then had used the Force to raise the ship from the waters.
I looked to it, then it looked to me before continuing its story. It held its side, as though in pain, and staggered a few steps and lay itself carefully down.
Injured I thought. The Jedi was injured.
It waved the others over to it, and they hurried over, joining in the charade, checking on the "Jedi."They helped it? But it died anyway?
I waved my hands to get thier attention, then held my hands to my chest, imitating someone in pain, then lay down and let my body go limp, closing my eyes and holding my breath.
Tapping on my shoulder and I opened my eyes. One above me shook its head rapidly, raising a finger and pointing back toward the hole in the ground.
Here we go again, I thought.

Daelon

"Easy things to say..." Daelon snarled as he snatched himself away from Kelson. Slowly, his face turned from anger to sadness, but he could not bring himself to look into his master's eyes.
"I'm sorry, Kelson. I shouldn't take it out on you. It's just... well, even if she isn't dead, she may as well be... stranded on some god-forsaken planet in the middle of nowhere... not even a Jedi can handle some of the things..." Daelon shuddered as he cut his sentence off half-way.
"In any case," he began again, standing straight, "you're right. I shouldn't blame myself. Now, what happened in the Jedi Council? And, more importantly, what is our next move?"

"Daelon...that path only brings about pain and suffering. I want you to meditate a bit on what you just said and felt. Then you will speak with me about them...I will not forget to tell you about Our discussion amongst the council members" spoke Kelson

Mogo

"The time has come to begin loading the vessel."
I just looked at her.
"Already?" Orin asked. "But we just got here. You couldn't have-"
"Don't worry about that. I'll take care of it, and I'll set up the explosives myself, so you won't have to worry about that either."
I wasn't liking any of this, but a deal was a deal, and I wasn't sure if the Jedi would protect us if we defaulted out of it, especailly considering that we'd have to explain how we came into trouble with the Sith to begin with.
I nodded.
She led the way to the hangar and explained to the guards there that we needed to be leaving already.
"We're all sorry to see you go. I believe Isalias will be especially disappointed."
"I appreciate that, but our cargo has a deadline. I just have one more item to collect here, Mogo, then we can be on our way."
"Which way are you headed?" The guard asked me.
"Well, we're head-"
"Tattooine," Nastasia responded, cutting me off. "We've got to go back to Tattooine."
"Oh," the guard replied, then smiled, ignoring the oddity. We were trusted here. I was beginning to feel truly bad about what was going on, irreversibly so. I also had the odd feeling that I'd gotten myself and Ori, not to mention the Owl, in over our heads.
Kerra never would have let this happen, I thought.
Nastasia wandered up the ramp and returned a few seconds later, carrying a pack that I'd never noticed before. I wondered where she'd hid it.
"Be back shortly," she informed us, heading away.
"By the way, while you're waiting," the guard began. "We took care of your hyperdrive. It looked pretty shoddy. Can you believe someone actually fixed the damn thing with duct tape?"

Raine

They had gone into a brief charade again, making me feel as though I'd wandered into an underground dinner theatre for a few moments. But they got the point across.
The one that crashed was injured, then another came, in search of it, but followed by a third. The latter two dueled, apparently, one being a Sith and the other a Jedi, and the Sith was slain. The injured Jedi and the other then escaped, leaving the Sith dead or to die.
I looked at the pouch containing the hand. It belonged to a Sith?
It didn't quite make sense.
If the Jedi had escaped, both alive, after the duel, why didn't we know of the Sith earlier. Wouldn't they have gone to the council?
I examined the lightsaber again, wondering how long it had been. A discussion with the creatures over the matter might be in order, but it must have been some time ago, if the hand is entirely rotted away.I needed a moment to think things over, to see if I felt that the story wasn't as I interpretted, or if there were more Sith that got to the Jedi before they reached any Council members.
"A moment," I muttered, thinking over which passage led back to where they told me the ship had gone down and working my way there.
When I arrived outside, looking around under the glowing light of the birds flying overhead, I sat down and crossed my legs, concentrating on the Force, trying to put my thoughts together by emptying my mind altogether.
"What happened here?" I whispered aloud, as though it would help me figure things out.
"And what would that information solve?"
A voice asked, from too nearby for its source to have been there a second before. I was on my feet at once, drawing my saber.
When i opened my eyes, saber ignited, I was calm, collected. The movements had been reflex, but the voice had not alarmed me. It was familiar.
"Colme Haringer," I said, amazed.
He had disappeared shortly after Marlik had, in search of the man in fact. Another disbeliever, such as myself in terms of the man's fate. Colme, however, was a master.
Surrounding the man was a bright white aura.
"That will be of no use here, Raine DuVal, though it is good to see your reflexes are still excellent."
Colme smiled, then pointed to the pouch and held up his hand. "I see you have found what I once lost."
I switched the weapon off, looking him over. He hadn't aged a day, but there was a reason for that, I knew.
"How did you get here?" I asked.
"I was following the enemy, Raine," he replied. "Years ago now, but I followed him here. he wrecked a ship, and I came here, followed by another to retrieve him, to be certain he was dead."
"A Sith?"
"A Jedi, turning Sith, Raine, though he is a Sith now, as is the one that followed me. I damaged his craft. i'd been following him, hunting him down, and I forced him to crashland here, much as you have done yourself. I found him greatly injured, but not incapacitated, or even mortally so. I fought him, and he fought well, as he always had, well enough that he almost defeated me without help."
I stared in awe, realizing that this other Jedi must have been fairly powerful to have faced off with Master Haringer. Another Master?
"Yes," he said, as if reading my mind. "Another Master had turned, and his companion arrived just as I mortally injured the man. The other Sith attacked me as I watched the man fall. After yet another long duel, I was defeated. The second man was well-trained, though young, but were it not for a few minor injuries suffered in the initial duel, specifically the loss of my hand, and the fatigue of dueling for so long...I believe I would have defeated them both. I have failed in my attempt to stop them. But with you here, I can redeem the hopes of stopping them before their power become stoo great."
"Where is the ship?" I asked. "I'm stranded here, Colme."
"The little ones will show you the way. Say the word 'too-wekk.'"
"Who are they?" I asked. "And where do I find them? Why is it that they haven't attacked already, or are they the ones who--?"
"Shh," he insisted. "Calm, patience, Raine. They were after an item that has been hidden here for centuries, and has until then, gone unknown of. It's powers are unknown to me, but it was hidden from their possession by the Eet-do, who found me nearly dead and cared for me until the end. You will find it with the vessel I left here, but donot take it. It is safe here. Tell the Council of it, and where it is, and maybe, hopefully, they will take control of it and discover its powers. The dark side has a hold on it, however, and it may very well make an unbeatable weapon in their hands.""Thier? I thought one was killed."
He shook his head, his ghostly image grave before me. "Merely wounded. Though, mortally so, the Sith still lives, ina sense."
"I'm confused, Master Colme."
He nodded, reassuring me.
"You must go to Bespin, Raine. Go now, and find the vessel. Time must not be wasted. I fear a bad time is upon us."
I thanked him, turning and heading back toward the passageway.
"...the answers to these questions," he muttered as I walked away. "And perhaps the answers to all you seek, young one."

Luke

Luke managed to sneak away from the other apprentices shortly after Natacia had left. He sat on the grass near the edge of the temple grounds, looking out at the forest. He could feel the Force. Not strongly at all... mostly a flicker, like a glowbulb with too little power. Tynan had said that was to be expected, but Luke was starting to get tired of it.

He wanted to be a Jedi so badly he could taste it. He wanted to powers that came with it. Most of all, he wanted to be able to protect himself. He wanted to stop being afraid.

Jedi Master D'Rack Fran'tok

The Super Star Destroyer Avenger was a huge ship. The 4 other Star Destroyers looked like little toys next to the Avenger.

D’Rack had taken command of the Avenger, and made it the command of his fleet. The Renegade, now under Gwen’s leadership, was to petrol the sector... But first, D’Rack needed Gwan at his side as they went over the Death Star plains, to change anything.

“Gwan...” D’Rack started as he looked at the holograms; one of the complete Death Star, the other was what had been done – a small 16%. “I have brought this up, because I have some – issues with the Death Star.” D’Rack pointed to the Super laser – the Death Star’s super weapon, able to destroy a planet in one shot. “I don’t want the Super laser… We are Jedi, not Sith, we do not need or want to destroy a planet. Instead, I want more laser batters, and Missiles, and also more engines – I want this thing to be able to defend Coruscent with out the Star Destroyers. I also want to double the amount of Tie Fighters… I want the new adjustments planed and ready to go ASAP, and also up the workers to 50%... I want that Death Star up and able to support itself as soon as we can have it”

“Yes master.” Gwan bowed, then walked over to the communit, and started to give out the new plans.

“Hmm, he didn’t argue… Not a good sign… The Dark Side clouds everything.” D'Rack thought to himself as he watched Gwan... "I know what your planing my Padawan..."

Jedi Master D'Rack Fran'tok

D’Rack sat, legs crossed on the floor facing the viewport with his eyes closed… Relaxing, reaching out to the force…

D’Rack had been like this for the last 6 hours… Feeling, seeing, reaching out with the force… Trying to see things, explain things, and know what is going to happen when…

The door opened, but yet, D’Rack didn’t move, not even a twitch. His eyes still closed. ”Gwan…”

“Master…” He said with a soft, dry voice as he came to a halt as the door shut again. Letting down his cloak, Gwan moved his hands to behind his back.

“I have been expecting you.” D’Rack, still with his eyes closed. “I see… You are sure of this choice? The Dark Side clouds everything.”

“I am sure… And again, we shall have our revenge on the Jedi.” Gwan said as he brought his arms to his side, Lightsaber.

“Revenge? You fool, Gwan. It is the Sith who basically destroyed the Jedi order, it is us who are next for revenge.”

“Gwan means nothing to me any more!” Activating his Lightsaber and bringing it to bear. “You will not stand in my way no longer!” Gwan, now retaking his Sith name, Darth Kane. “The Sith will destroy the new Jedi order, and I will lead the Sith to victory!”

D’Rack’s eyes shoot open as he heard the buzz of the Lightsaber. “So it begins.” D’Rack jumped up, grabing his Lightsaber and span around to face Kane as he activated his ‘saber. “It comes back to this, just as I saw it.” D’Rack starts to slowly walk towards Kane as he started to swing his ‘saber in a motion as to scare him. The green blade humming through the air.
As Kane with his red blade ‘saber jumped up and over D’Rack. Landing on the ground, spinning around as he brought his ’saber around from the left. D’Rack jumped up missing Kane’s attack bringing his own ‘saber down to meet Kane’s. He brings his ‘saber back as he moves to strike on his Kane’s right.
Kane ducks and spins around bringing his ‘saber around for an attack from the right. D’Rack drops and blocks the attack.

D’Rack rolls back and jumps and kicks of the wall, using the force as he lands over Kane, just in front of the door. The presence being detected, the door opens as D’Rack walks backwards out. All the officers on the bridge stop and watch as Kane and D’Rack dual.

Kane picks up pace as he runs towards D’Rack lifting his ‘saber up high and bringing it down as D’Rack jumps out of the way. “You still have a lot to learn Kane.” D’Rack said as he strikes back at Kane, being blocked by the last of the Blade.

“You old fool; you do not know the power of the dark side!” Kane gives in to his anger as he charges at D’Rack, missing and killing on of the officers on the bridge. Not carrying about what he just did, he spans around and blocked another attack from D’Rack.

Backing up, Kane reaches out with his hand, using the force; he throws D’Rack back against the wall. D’Rack stands up and does the same, pushing Kane back into the wall.

“The Dark Side clouds everything!” He picks up his ‘saber and throws it at Kane, using the force to guide it to cut the ’saber from Kane’s hand.

Standing up, Kane pulls another ‘saber from his belt. “Time for you to meet my new toy!” Kane pulls back his ‘saber, and activates it. A long Blue blade of about 5 meters! The Blade bending into a cycle. “Nice isn’t it?” He says as he hits his hand downwards, flicking the long blade at D’Rack like a whip.

“The secret Lightsaber!” D’Rack jumped back to miss the blade as it flicked towards him, again, and again. ”I can’t fight that!”

Kane felt a hard time controling the whip, as he brought hi hand back to flick again, the Blade came back, cutting Kane from his right shoulder to his left leg…. The body hitting the floor in a bloody mess…

Darth Kane is no more…

Daelon

Daelon ground his teeth impatiently at Kelson, but bit back harsh words.
"Of course, Master." he said, before bowing slightly and stalking away.
He knew, just as well as Kelson, where his thoughts were leading him at the moment. But what he didn't need was his own Master, his own friend, being so patronising to him, talking to him like he was a child...
I have learned long enough! The memory came to him in a flash, of a time not long ago where he had spoke to Kelson about taking the Trials, and losing his temper... I have learned enough of the force to be a Jedi! Let me take the Trials!
You are skilled enough, young padawan. But you do not have the heart of a Jedi - not yet. Kelson had said to him.
The heart of a Jedi - bah! If he didn't have the heart now, how could he ever...
Clenching his teeth, Daelon nearly struck himself in his anger, before he quickly dispelled the memory from his thoughts and moved away hurriedly.

Nastasia Vish

She'd taken care fo everything, got everything set up and was ready to go. Only one thing needed done still. Above, the sky had grown dark, and the place had grown fairly silent, as places like this did at night, save for the nightwatch crew. It was a time of war, yes, but that war had just begun.
She moved from building to building, shifting past guards and pilots and soldiers that didn't even seem to notice her. Part of the surroundings, that was all she was to them. And that was good.
No notice needed be taken of her if this was going to go smoothly. And she was fairly certain this was not expected.
As she moved between the buildings, she saw the young boy she'd spoken to earlier off to the side, looking out at the trees there.
Luke, she thought.
SHe looked around, seeing no was paying attention, and feeling it odd that the boy should be alone in such a place, especially one that would be an apprentice.
After little hesitation, she wandered up to him, holding tightly to the small metal device that was all she still carried of the pack she'd taken with her.
She knelt down next to the boy, sitting slightly behind him.
"Hello, Luke. Do you remember me?"

Marius

I almost didn't see Daelon as I exited the room, the man moving past me at a pace that was surprisingly brisk.
"Daelon," I said, seeing his disposition in his mannerisms and becoming concerned immediately. "Are you alright? I want to ask you something?"
