Zen

"You never know" I tell Killian as I walk forword "Plus I need him to translate whatever it is that R2 unit tells me when we get to the mountains."

Killian looks at me "Why are you going to the mountains for? There's nothing out there."

Getting in I say "I'll explain about it as we get there. For now just follow my cordinates(sp?) so I can pick up R2-D2 and the Millenium Falcon."

Jumping into his ship we head off to the secret location in the mountains. Things were about to heat up and we had to get ready for battle.

Ronag:
Ronag gently took Silver's hand, and led her to an open field. He sat her down, still crying, between sobs.
She looked up at him, as he sat down naext to her taking her hand.
"Look," he said pointing at the field.
She wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at it. Being as it was (night, dusk, twilight, people post confusing times here, I will say it's night) night the two bright moons shined brightly upon it. She looked, blinked, looked again, then back at Ronag.
"It's just a field, I don't get it."
Ronag put her hand out to the field. She looked at him curiously. He closed his eyes, concentrating. She looked out onto the field again. Nothing...
No, no a light, a small light. It floated from the field up to the sky. It was followed by another, and another. Soon groups of light started coming out, and before she knew it, Silver's eyes were full of the lights, the whole place illuminated with the lights of...
"Fireflies, millions of fireflies."
Ronag let go of her hand. She looked back at him, the fireflies going down to their once peaceful positions.
"I don't get it."
Ronag pointed a finger at her, "Your force is the field. It is your choice if you want the force inside of you to be just a field, or something more."
A single firefly danced around her head, before returning to the grassy field.
Ronag got up, walking away from her.
"Wait..."
Ronag looked back, "No, I am not Ganor. I am something that every Sith has inside of them, a conscience. It doesn't matter if they hear it or not. It is there, and it is always there. Where is yours Silver Dread...
Where is yours?"
He turned around. She stood up, "Will you please stop..."
Ronag turned back toward her.

Ganor
He stared at the artifact hovering before him. A slight smile crossed his lips.
"Loyalty? All I have to do is touch this, and I get the priviledge to be another servant to a Sith Lord."
The Emporer gave him an evil glance, "Boy you don't know what..."
Ganor shouted back at him, "No, you don't know Emporer. I proved myself out there. I proved that I can stand up to the Jedi, and here you are cowering in the far part of the galaxy digging in the dirt. My master died. I lived, and not only that I found the Artifact of Krytoris (just made that up, pretty good huh?) I used it, my power is equal to yours now..."
He flexed his mind, letting the force flow through him as before.
"I am my own master know. I am Sith Lord Ganor," he turned on the light saber. Ganor stared deeply into it's light. He made it dance from the right to the left, silence poured into the room after his bout. He let it sink in, driving down to the deepest part of their hearts, where anything and everything was painful.
(ohhh good one, I am going to write that down, hey wait, I already did, BONUS)
He sliced through the artifact hoving before him with ease. Thw two pieces dropped to the floor. Ganor smiled.
"Anyone who thinks different, will speak to me..."
He glanced at everyone in the room, but let his eyes lay on the Emporer. It was his move now.

Silver Dread...

Ronag turned to face Silver again. She stared at him as if trying to measure him up against what she knew about people in general. Suddenly her eyes snapped open and she screamed in pain... clutching her head. "Stop it... stop it oh GOD!" She fell to her knees and moaned. She felt like someone was piercing her brain with a thousand red hot needles. Where was it coming from she had to stop it.

She felt Ronag's hand resting on her shoulder and she reached up to cling to him. Her eyes fastening on his. He flinched as she shared her pain with him but his eyes didn't waver. He endured it with her. Tears filled her eyes as she realised what he was trying to do. She started to shake her head 'no'... when she felt his voice... faint but audible in her mind. "Remove yourself from the pain... trust me... remember the field... just like that... block out the disturbance"

She trembled clearly nearing insanity from the pain itself but she clung to the voice and the idea. Desperately she attempted to clear her mind to find that calm she had witnessed only moments before. Slowly... almost unpreceivably she felt the pain ebbing. Ronag's hand on her shoulder became more defined, more real than the pain. Finally all that remained was a nautiating throbbing in her temples. She gasped unable to find the energy to hold herself up any longer. She passed out in Ronag's arms.

Zen

Once we arrived at the mountain location I quickly opened the doors with my mind as we flew inside of the huge room. Once we land Killian looks around the room and at the Falcon.

I tell him "I'll give you the tour later but right now I gotta fire up the Falcon and head back for Sha'ara and the others." The doors to his ship open as I jump out and head for the Falcon.

I yell to him "I need you to pull out so I can get the ship out of here! Meet me in front of the base."

Killian nods and slowly backs out the ship from the hanger and speeds off back to the base. C-3PO and me join up with R2-D2 inside of the Falcon as I take the controls.

"Ok you two lets get going! We need to pick up the other students and head back to the base!" The engines fire up as I take the Falcon out of the hanger and into the air for the first time in years.

Once we are airborne I tell the droids "Ok now you two, we need to pick up a couple of students then we head back to the base. We don't have much time to waist." With that we began our way back to Tawain, Farlo, and Sha'ara.

And the thread's rolling again... yee-hah!

On board the Vengeance...

"You try my patience sorely, Ganor. Yes, your power may now equal my own, though that is yet to be proven. But your experience in wielding it certainly does not..."

The Emperor stood up, thrusting out both his hands, sending a pair of crackling blue bolts at Ganor, flinging him against the wall in dire agony.

"But I have no wish to duel with another Sith at the present. Consider yourself fortunate that I have other more pressing plans. Go. I am sure we shall have the opportunity to continue this at a later date".

Ganor got to his feet, his eyes betraying his inner fury, but the Emperor was right, he knew that. A hundred years or more of experience wielding the Dark Side made a duel pointless at the present. Later... yes, that was fine with him. The Imperial Guardsmen at the door stood aside, and the newly proclaimed Sith Master left the emperor's throneroom, his anger pushed aside, to be saved for that later date.

Once the great doors had closed behind Ganor, Moff Truan stepped forwards towards the throne, a look of concern on his face.

"My Emperor, if he is indeed as powerful as you are, then he could grow to be a threat -" Moff Truan began, but his sentance was cut short by a chokehold about his throat. After a few moments, the Emperor released his hold, smiling.

"That additional power of his only remains as long as the artifact in question remains intact" the Emperor said, looking down at the two pieces of the Sith artifact on the floor, "and you, my Moff, have presented me already with an opportunity to knock Ganor down more than a few pegs. The rebels had mapped out that pyramid, and that information was amongst the last data I6T9 transmitted to me. Order the Tempest to begin the planetary assault, as planned. Darth Mask's little foray has already weakened their defences".

"Yes, my Emperor" Moff Truan said, bowing, as he turned to walk over to the communication console.

"Have the... modifications been made to Ganor's ship?" the Emperor added.

"Yes, my Emperor. The lightdrive and weapons have been sabotaged externally. Once he launches... we'll lock a tractor beam on him and keep him in tow..." Moff Truan punched a couple of buttons on the console, "this is Moff Truan to the Tempest. Admiral Thorne, begin the assault as planned. The Emperor awaits your success".

"Good. Let him stew for a while" the Emperor mused aloud, "I want Ganor's anger to grow. It is a simple matter at present to keep him unaware of those changes with my command of the Dark Side... and he shall have not the time to gain the experience necessary to wield that extra power, before I strip it from him... let us see how eager he is to deny me then..."

The Emperor laughed out.

Back at the New Alliance base/Jedi Academy...

Another explosion rocked the base. Then another. And then another!

"What's going on?" someone shouted.

"The communication grid's been knocked out, and the long-range scanners... and the base's ion cannon defence! We've been sabotaged!" came the shouted reply, an edge of panic in the voice, "but we picked up some large vessels entering the system from lightdrive just prior to the explosions!"

"Oh hell, another attack?! Sound the alert!"

Far above, the Tempest, the lead Star Destroyer in a group of six, was positioning itself now into a blockade above the planet with the others. AT-AT barges and modified Lambda-class landing craft were already ferrying the large attack force to the surface. Wing's of TIE super-interceptors and TIE bombers were accompanyed them, until they entered the atmosphere, where the TIE's broke off to begin their first strafing run across the base...

[ OOC: TIE super-interceptors: Picture a normal TIE interceptor, but with three wings on struts leaving the TIE cockpit in a Y formation rather than two. The blockade isn't perfect - for some reason, the Emperor wants the rebels to escape... what do you think guys, feel like doing an Escape from Hoth-style evacuation? Get those air-speeders ready! And then, a distant thud... the ground shakes... heh heh... ]

As we flew towards the base on the Millennium Falcon we could see the explosions going off from far off.

C-3PO yelled "Sir it would appear that the base is under attack!" I turn to the golden droid and told him in a mock voice "No shit, you think?"

Turning back to the controls I explain to them "We have to pick up Sha'ara and her boyfriends first. The three of them are the best students we have right now and we'll need there help."

The Millennium Falcon flew off to the direction of the three students.

Killian Alladus:

Killian left Zen to the Millenium Falcon and piloted his ship back to the Rebel Base. Soon after breaking over a mountain range, his cencors went crazy picking up At-At Imperial Walkers, and an occasional Two-Legged Walker {I forget the name, anyone help?}.

"Hmmmm Time to play."

Killian switched his grid pannel to attack mode and started to drop into a defensive flight pattern. Quickly he set a battle course and started trailing an At-At. Waiting just til the right moment, Killian fired the ships blasters and took out one of the At-At's rear legs.

Dodging enemy fire, he circled and sent two killing blasts into the downed walker's cockpit, taking out the At-At. Soon after, a TIE Fighter was on his tail. Little did the TIE know, but Killian's ship had a nasty rear cannon. By the time the TIE fighter's pilot noticed the gun, the cannon fired and sent the TIE streaking like a falling star across the sky.

"Zen, this is starting to look a bit impossible. I'll try to take out as many Walkers as I can. Get you and those kids out of here. Radio me when your through the blockade above and I'll be right behind."

Two blasts crashed down over the nose of Killian's ship, but were fought off by the shield.

"Damn, that was close. Just hurry Zen!"

Ooc: Kepic. I would really like you to fill me in here. I mean, I really don't like my character being molded and wielded by someone else. I understand that the emporer is the ultimate Sith thing, but I am doing my thing to, and I thought I made it clear I didn't want to be part of your plans. I don't, I am sorry if that offends you, but I want Ganor to go back to the Sith training, like he was going to do in the first place, and make the army of Sith soldiers. It seems as though you are set against him doing that, and I would like to at least know why.

Ic:
Ronag held Silver Dread in his arms, "There there, let it out. Good, is that better?"
She coughed, then nodded her head.
"You should be proud of yourself, only one other Sith had ever defied the Dark side."
Silver looked up at him, "Thank you, Ronag..."
"I am always here to help."
They watched the night sky together, (damn) as a ship slowly took off out of the atmosphere.
Ronag got up, brushing his back side off, "Well, would you like an escort back to the base?"
She took his outreached hand, "Why yes. Thank you."
Ronag picked her up, then headed back for the base.

Sha'ara

As I sat there eating, while Tawain stared at me from across the table I began to feel a gnawing sense of dread in the pit of my stomach. I suddenly turned my head and jumped up at the same time Tawain did. As we headed toward the door, I whispered to him, "There is a great disturbance in the force." (I've been dying to say that!!) and Tawain nodded brusquely, "I agree."

"Let's find Farlo and get the hell back to base." I said.

Tawain stopped and looked at me for a moment like he was going to argue, but then shrugged and said, "I guess I could put away this anger at you for the moment ... if only to avoid losing more lives."

I sighed, "Well, that's mighty big of you Tawain." I didn't mean for it to come out as biting and sarchastic as it did, but then I am my mother's daughter.

We ran out of the cantina and I hollered to Farlo who was standing not too far away. "Come on," he cried, "We need to get back."

The three of us put on some speed and took off into the night. The sounds of explosions in the distance echoing in our ears.

OOC: I have to get back into the swing of things... I've been gone too long and I'm not at 100% right yet. Thanks for your concern everyone!!

OOC: Sorry poohlive. I thought that was a little heavyhanded myself after posting it, but I wasn't sure what the reaction would be. After all, these bad guys are meant to lose, aren't they? The Emperor and Moff Truan are certainly going to get theres, I think. My intention was merely to try and get a nice battle set up at Orias B (for a showdown with the Emperor). Ganor can get away... maybe taking a different ship. Notice the sabotage anyway (maybe one of the Imperial Engineer's left a bolt out of place somewhere) and steal Moff Truan's Black Hawk? (I was thinking about having a TIE Super-Interceptor for him with shields and lightdrive cabability anyway).

Zen

Before we get to close to the base I take the Millennium Falcon down and rest it far from the base. I explain to the droids "I don't want to risk this ship getting destroyed. It might be our only way out of here if things get to wild. You two stay here and wait for me to return with the others. I'll travel on foot to the base."

The doors to the Millennium Falcon opened up as I jumped out and head for the base with great speed. On the way there thoughts rush through my head, first I start to blame myself again but this was not the time to point fingers and feel sorry for myself. This was the time to act and protect the last Skywalker... with my very life if I had to.

When I get a certain distance to the base I notice three figures whom were also running for the base.
