Starspeaker IC (Closed for silvertongue217)

He groaned his eyes flashing up dark angry and broiling with lust.

"You know your pregnant right" he growled thrusting forward his cock throbbing. He reached out grabbing her naked ass giving it a slap as he moved her forward her bump pressed against his lips.

"I do," Vera moaned as his lips pressed against her and he slapped her arse "How do you think we got this way?" She tangled her fingers through his hair and urged him lower. "Come on Jase, don't leave me hanging." Her fingers tightened in his hair as she angled het hips forward.

"I would be a poor citizen if I left the empress hanging" he said growling pulling her forward he pulled her straight down on his cock. He thruster forward his cock filling her roughly his balls slapping against her ass as he roughly drove into her. His head pushed into her breast kissing and sucking as he began to move his hips in and out.

Vera cried out as Jase pushed into her, his cock battering at her swollen channel. When his head moved to her breasts she moaned, his kisses and sucks riding the point between pleasure and pain. She reached out to the chair behind her for support as he drove into her. His pelvis crashed against her aching clit and she gasped as he pushed her pleasure skyward.

"That's it," she moaned.

"Uh huh fuck baby fuck" jase moaned smiling and moaning as he thruster in and out. His balls were heavy and swollen aching as he pummled in and out of her. He grabbed her ass massaging and slapping it spuring her on as I kissed and bit on your breast. He moaned in pleasure as he buried himself in her breast biting and sucking as he thrusted in and out hard and rough.

Vera couldn't stop her orgasm. Jase worked it out of her with all of the desperation and fury that had built up between them. She cried out, her fingers clawing at his back and her cries bursting from her throat.

"Don't stop," She begged, "Frack I need you so bad." Vera's voice was hoarse as her orgasm sent waves of pleasure coursing through her. Her hands went down to slap Jase's arse before grabbing it and encouraging him to push her through her orgasm.

" oh Frank oh Frank I'm not stopping!" He slapped her ass driving his cock in and out as the chair they were om groaned.

A part off him thought that he needed to be careful given there was a baby inside of her. However that part had little a face to the hunger inside of him. The hunger to fuck her hard, and the hunger to lpunish her for the lie.

So he didnt stop instead he drove in and out of her his cock swell as he went over the edge.

"Oh Frank" he moaned thrusting in at the same time his cock swelled. His cum burst filling her as he fucked her through his orgasm.

Jase's orgasm had Vera crying out in earnest. His tip rammed against her inner barriers without mercy as he pumped her full of his hot cum. When he was done she fell back into the comfort of the chair, naked and panting. She looked up at him with a cheeky grin.

"Got that off your chest now?" She teased.

"For now" base growled shaking his head slapping her ass before slowly pull her off his cock. He picked her up laying her in tjhe chair before shaking his head

"What are ypou doing to me" he murmured giving her a long lingering look before sighing "so this is our life now huh?" He asked gesturing.

"I guess so," she said with a shrug, eyeing his sexy body, her clit thumping angrily in retalliation for her desire.

"Chancellor, your food has arrived and is on your dining table." Kryten's voice cut into the room, slicing through the mood.

"Thank you," Vera said, struggling to get to her feet. She walked over to a panel in the wall and opened it, retrieving a silken dressing gown from within.

"Now you get to see the junk that us Imperials are forced to eat," Vera said with a smile, remembering their discussion weeks ago.

She was telling the truth when she said that the food she ate wasn't all that special. It was just about the same that everyone on the ship ate unless there was a special occasion or she made a specific request. It was satisfactory, but lacked the personality of Jase's cooking.

Vera led him into the dining room and flopped into the chair.

"This child of yours must be growing well," she said, gracing Jase with a shy smile, "it is sapping every bit of energy I have." She laughed. The fatigue she felt was a new experience for her, but she didn't mind. If it meant their child was thriving she would gladly suffer through it.

He shook his head watching it all and struggling to get his mind around it. She mlpved with such ease he once again berated himself for not having realized it sooner. He blamed it on a combination of love and list but he knew that there was more to it then that.

He hadn't WANTED to know

She dressed and he sighed pulling his pants back om before joining her. He shook his head at her food comment and eyed it frowning as he noted how blank it looked.

"To our child then" jase said smiling softly and taking a bite

He promptly spat it out

"Frak no" he said rising "no kid of mine is gloing to grow up on this shit" he remarked shaking his head

"Where is the fa!coln?" jase asked

"It's not that bad," Vera laughed, taking some of the food herself. It had taken three weeks to get used to it again after Jase's delicious cooking.

"The Falcon is in Dock 3, I've locked down that dock to everyone but ourselves," Vera informed him. "As much as I would love something you've cooked, right now I am hungry enough to eat a horse and tired enough to collapse." Vera took another bite of her food, eager to get it down so she could get to bed.

"Sit, Jase. Eat with me and then take me to bed."

"But this stuff is crap" jase grumbled shaking his head and growling "we could go to the falcon and I could have some thing whipped up in ten minutes!"

He sighed noting her command and sitting down. He angrily !mpoved his food around before eating it in the way some one would if they were trying to get through it.

He pushed it away "I'm installing a kitchen in here" he warned her standing up "so shall I tuck you in before crashing on the couch" he said clearly teasing this time.

"Sure you will," Vera laughed at Jase's comment about the couch.

"If you want a kitchen you can have a kitchen, Vera said with a dismissive wave. She pushed her plate away and stretched.

"I may be able to fit a detailed medical scan in tomorrow during my lunch if you're interested," Vera offered, gesturing to her stomach.

"Samantha could do it right now" jase reminded her with a dismissive waive of his hand "samantha?"

"You sure!" Samantha asked appearing and raising an eyebrow " I mean I don't mind sharing with both of you" she said stressing both and glancing at vera.

"Go ahead" jase said rolling his eyes

"If you say so" she murmured bringing up the scan

"Congrats your having twins a boy and a girl"

Vera gasped as Sam projected the holographic scan in the air between them. There, in all their 3D glory, rotated the two tiniest beings on the ship, curled close to each in their separate sacs. They each had a rapid fluttering heartbeat on their chests.

A boy and a girl. Their babies.

Vera's eyes filled with tears of joy at the sight. She then looked to Jase, beaming despite feeling somewhat overwhelmed.

"Jase!" She said his name, unable to contain her excitement. "And they're healthy Sam? They're developing well?" Her stomach fluttered with nerves.

"They're fine." Samantha said, a hint of happiness in her tone despite the fact she still did not entirely approve of Vera.

"Twins" jase breathed stepping forward and touching the bumps

"I was a twin" he said softly turning to vera "guess it runs in the family" he said softly

He turned looking at it one more time before turning to her "come on let's get to bed" he said taking her hand and leading her to the beds.

Vera let Jase lead her to bed, casting a long look over her shoulder at the projection of the babies growing within her.

Vera fell asleep that moment that her head hit the pillow and dreams tumbled through her consciousness. One of the dreams was nice, hopeful. She and Jase stood together on a planet before a crowd of cheering people. A child clung to each of their sides, a boy and a girl, each with dark hair just like their mum and dad. Their warmth and affection was real against Vera's side as she observed the crowd m, her vision tainted by pride and a sense of jubilation. They could do this, she and Jase, they would make the universe a safe place for their babies. Together they would beat every single challenge cast their way.

In the morning Vera woke to the sound of her alarm. It blared through the room and she groaned, hating that she was wicked out of the warmth and joy of her dream. She groaned, rolling over onto her side and burying her head in her pillow. Just five minutes more, that was all she wanted.

Jase groaned hearing the alarm sound off and growling

"Frak you got alarms" he said thrudtingf his hand out as if tpo stop it "go away"

"I'm sorry sir but the empress-"

"Am I the empress?" Jase growled sitting up

"No you are not"

"So why you waking me up!" Jase growled before waving his hand

"By the way" jase said looking over at her "what am I supposed to do while your being the evil seductress empress you are?" He said teasing

Vera laughed at Jase, turning to look at him.

"You have a kitchen to organise," she said with a grin "you now have two children to feed." At the thought of food her stomach grumbled. "I would appreciate it if you noseyed in on what I am doing for the moment ao you get up to speed. After that? How does well kept sex slave sound?" She joked, kissing him before clawing her way out of bed. She got up and made her way yo her closet.

"As for me. I have a meeting with my new fleet commander to go over my new space fleet. If you need anything just ask, I've told Kryten and the guards that you are the boss of these quarters when I am not around. Oh, and you, Sam and I are the only ones that know about the baby... Babies. I think we should keep it that way for a while."

Vera was dressed by the time she finished speaking, then went to the bathroom to freshen up.

"Installing a kitchen!" Jase said growling and shaking his head "being a personal sex slave?"

"Are you serious?!" He said growling and getting up still naked "I'm not a trophy man" he warned her coming over and cross his arms

"Were supposed to be partners remember?" Jase reminded her "I'll listen in and five you counsel but this isn't where myt adventure ends you remember that" he warned her before heading into the shower.

"Smooth" samantha said as the shower door locked

"Oh Jase," Vera projected her thoughts into his, "I was joking. I forgot how grizzly you were in the mornings. Take a look around, see if there is anything that interests you."

Vera stepped out of her bathroom and made her way to her first appointment of the day, grabbing a piece of fruit to munch on on the way.

Two hours later Vera had completed her inspection of the fleet with the new Fleet Commander, Lukas Wells. He was new to his position, replacing the old commander who had fled with the General. He was young, but he knew what he was talking about. Every now and again as he rambled on about some of the specs of the new craft he would remember that he was talking to her and not one of his pilots and apologise for getting off topic. Vera didn't mind though, she liked to know just what her ships were capable. She left her mind open to Jase and Samantha just in case they were interested in listening in. Their new ships were impressive, top of the range, and much better than the ones that General Starborn had taken from them.

By the end of the meeting her stomach was feeling hollow and the nausea had returned. She gritted her teeth as she said farewell to Lukas.

"Small frequent meals," Samantha's voice interrupted her train of thoughts, "if you're feeling particularly ill try dry, bland foods."

"I didn't know you were so well versed on pregnancy," Vera replied with a mental laugh.

"I am well versed on everything," Samantha's indignant reply came.

"Well, thank you. I'm glad you're programmed to do all of this stuff. I'm not ready to share this pregnancy with any of the doctors here yet. Thank you for keeping an eye on me. On the babies."

"Avery?!" A voice called across the hangar. Vera froze, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. She looked up to see Bomber rushing towards her. Her heart filled with guilt as he skidded to a halt, his eyes suddenly becoming wary.

"I'm not Av-"

"Sorry Chancellor Starborn." Bomber's voice was apologetic and his eyes fell to the floor. He let out a heavy sigh and turned around.

"Bomber?" Vera said, the pilot froze and turned to her, eyes wary.

"I'm sorry about Avery, I had no idea things would turn out like this," Vera said, keeping her tone informal. "We are working on getting her back. If we need a good pilot can I count you in?"

Bomber's eyes brightened at her words, a look of vengence lighting them from within.

"Chancellor... when was it you?" He asked, cheeks flushing with some sort of embarassment that confirmed everything that Vera had guessed about Avery and the pilot.

"Only a few of the missions that you were involved with. Kika, the Star Race, taking down Merian the first time, the trip to the temple where Cresftield stole the orb from under us."

The last phrase made Bomber laugh.

"Avery isn't the kind for shouting her vengeance. It all kind of makes sense now," Bomber laughed, shaking his head. He looked at Vera, eyes narrowing as he truly saw her. "Well, if it was you on those mission then you kick arse. I'm glad I stuck on this side." Bomber said with a nod of approval, then he froze and his face fell. "Shit! Am I allowed to say arse in front of you? Damn it! Shit is even worse. Oh for fr-" Bomber stumbled through his words, unable to stop himself. Vera laughed, shaking her hand and waving dismissively.

"Nothing I haven't said or hear before," she assured him with a shake of her head. She turned around and left the hangar with Bomber still fumbling for words behind her. A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips, and she was more determined than ever to get Avery back.

Vera's next stop was a meeting with her security analysts. After the schism, she had to take all possible measures to segregate those who had defected from PEACe from the core group, to prevent them from accessing any more resources. It was a long and boring meeting, technical and full of long-winded explanations.

"Jase, I don't think I'll be able to catch you for lunch today. If I push through this meeting I will be lucky to get five minutes before I have to see the council. After that I have asked for a consultation with Starspeaker over dinner in our suite. It would be great if you could meet him," Vera cast out to Jase as one of the analysts explained a diagram that showed their plans for ensuring that their information was properly segregated yet still readily available to those who need it.

Vera was disappointed, after so many weeks with Jase in a coma she wanted to spend more time with him. Though, given her schedule she knew it would be impossible. It was unlike their time on the Falcon, where they were with each other at their leisure, able to run their own days. As she sat her mind drifted off to the odd dream she had the night before. It had the same vivid feeling of the one before she released Starspeaker. She wondered if she dared to hope that one also was true. Her heart warmed at the memory of their children, their son and daughter in their arms.

~*~

This council meeting was going much better than the one the previous day. Mostly because it had nothing to do with her Uncle. Her advisors had done a complete inventory of the staff that they had lost and who would need to be replaced. There were quite a few upper level positions that needed to be filled now, so they were poring over detailed resumes and service records, trying to find loyal and suitable candidates for promotion. As the afternoon turned into evening they had made a good amount of headway. She looked at the chart they had on the table between them and sat back in her seat. A few positions were left empty, including that of General, but she wanted to make sure the person she put in that position was one she could trust. Her uncle was a left over from her parent's time, someone she had never been close to but allowed in the position out of deference to his experience. Never again would she let that happen. She considered the counsellors in the room with her for the position as well, but in such a tumultuous time getting their people to hold an election to replace them could be disastrous. She would have loved for Tomas to come and work with her, but she knew his true passion was with his own planet of Mika. Vera's thoughts strayed to the short list of people she would trust with her life at that moment; Jase, Avery and Tomas. It was a short list, and two of those people were unavailable. She wondered whether she dare suggest the position to Jase, whether he would even consider it. She wondered if the council would walk out if she tried to instate him.

"And what of the Rebels? How do you plan to lure them into the fight with the Hive?" Councillor Halt asked, his eyes seeking out Vera's. She sighed. How could she possibly encourage the group that had fought tooth and nail against her own for nearly a century to join them? She had received no return missives from them after sending them warnings of the impending invasion, she doubt they were even interested in anything she had to say.

"We need an ambassador," Fierra said, looking to the others at the table for support. "Someone within the organisation that they could trust, with enough power for them to believe that we can meet any terms we agree to."

Vera sat back, watching Fierra with interest. The woman was never one to mince her words, honest and critical to her core. It was rare that they ever agreed on anything, but Vera always respected her opinion. They may differ on strategy, but their end goal was always the same.

"What are you plans for Crestfield, Chancellor?" Fierra's sharp gaze narrowed on Vera. Vera turned to the woman.

"I don't presume to make plans for him," Vera returned, voice sharp.

"You're the Chancellor, you can presume to make plans for anyone in this universe," Halt said, his keen attention turning to her also. The other councillors spoke amongst themselves as she frowned.

"He is a wanted criminal." Councilwoman Emri said, looking around as though the others had gone crazy.

"Not to PEACe, not any more," Fierra argued, "we have retracted our warrant for his arrest."

"Why would the Rebels negotiate with him? They have a bounty on his head too."

"Only because he ignored their orders to give them the orb that led to Starspeaker and to kill me," Vera stated, her mind whirring. He was more of a neutral party than a rebel, but it could just work. Jase was smart, strong, fast, he had a great working knowledge of space, the rebels, he wasn't blinded by hatred for either side. "Yet we would need to give him a position of power for him to have the sway you think the rebels would desire." Vera said to Fierra.

The gathered councillors looked at the chart on the table. There were three positions left unfilled: Data and Information Systems Manager, Lead Weapons Trainer and General.

"Surely we could shuffle these around a bit." One of the councillors mused, looking at the list and pointedly avoiding the position of General.

Vera took note of the position of General again. Unlike that of councillor, the General wasn't elected. The elected officials were the ones that came to represent a signatory of PEACe. They came with their own resources, beings and otherwise, but Vera was the one who had final say over PEACe staffers. Her chain of command was the neutral one between all of the parties, the one that tied them together, that bridged and superseded their gaps. Really, if she wanted to, she could approve Jase for the position without their approval.

She only needed Jase's approval.

After a few minutes of mundane chatter the council broke apart and she left the room, Tomas at her side.

"Can you trust Jase Crestfield?" Tomas asked, knowing her well enough to know that she was considering Jase for the position. She didn't bother trying to deceive him otherwise.

"With my life," she said to him as they walked. "Unless you want the positon, or we retrieve Avery and put her in it, I don't see any other choice."

"But what about one of the other council members?"

"What, and force their planets into a rushed election with the current issues threatening this universe? No, we must act swiftly on this, cause as little disruption to the current chain of command as possible."

They walked on in silence for a few minutes, headed towards the elevator that would take Vera up to her apartment and Tomas down to his office.

"There is already talk that you have had him relocated to your suite," Tomas said with a sigh and furtive glance at her, trying to gauge her reaction.

"So?"

"The Deserters will use it against you, you know that don't you?" He warned, forehead creasing as though he was fighting off an impending headache.

"If we can get the Rebellion on side we will not need to worry about the Deserters until they see the error of their ways." Vera said. The elevator came and Tomas offered her first ride. She stepped in, giving the others inside a nod of greeting as the doors shut behind her.

~*~

When Vera returned to her quarters she had twenty minutes to go before dinner. She made her way to her waiting room and collapsed into a comfortable chaise lounge, sinking into the softness with an appreciative groan. The exhaustion had hit her the moment she had stepped out of the elevator. She wanted nothing more than to curl up and sleep, but the night was far from over.

"You need to take better care of yourself," Samantha's voice chided as the AI appeared in the room, seated on the couch opposite.

"And what, forget about the rest of the universe?" Vera said with a tired sigh.

"You're going to run yourself ragged and then you'll be of no use to anyone. Especially those babies."

Vera thought about her schedule for the next few days and had to stop herself from growling in frustration. It was true; she was run off her feet. She was used to a busy schedule, this only being slightly more intense than the one she held before she met Jase. Though that was also before she fell pregnant with twins. Right now, she didn't have the energy for such a high maintenance schedule.

"I'll talk to Tomas about redistributing some of the load and rearranging meeting times to make them more suitable."

Vera closed her eyes, wanting a break. Her hand settled over her the swelling of her womb and she took a few deep breaths in the silence of her quarters.

"Jase, were you listening in on that council meeting?" She asked, projecting her thoughts out to him, not sure where he was. "What do you think?"

Avery Watersmith

The brig was the most boring place Avery had ever been in her life. And that included the accelerator growth chambers that had been her home for the first seven years of her life. She looked around, counting the plasma bars for the squillionth time. The guards have been forbidden from talking to her. The only communication she had with another being was the interrogations.

Who are you?

Where did you grow up?

Who are your Parents?

How did you meet the Chancellor?

Why were you standing in for Vera?

How were you selected for the role?

Who put you up to this?

Does Vera have any weaknesses?

On and on the questions went; again and again until she wanted to punch them in the face.

Avery remembered vividly the moment that all hell broke lose. When General Starborn had sauntered into her office. He showed her security footage from the Unity Gala. Of her and Vera entering the bathroom and then leaving within a few minutes of each other. He marvelled at the change in her behaviour, in the difference in the way they went about their schedule.

General Starborn pulled up a security record of a time when Avery had been weak. A time where she went to watch Bomber in secret as he worked, desperately wanting to tell him that she was still alive.

General Starborn pulled up some security footage of Avery and Bomber, then replayed the footage of Avery and Vera. It was suspicious, he said, before threatening to take Bomber into custody in order to extract the truth from him.

At first Avery had said nothing, but Starborn showed her the real time footage of the elite force enforcers marching towards Bomber with a warrant, and then he told her of his theory. That she and Vera looked so alike- alike enough that a slight phenotypic genetic mutation therapy session would allow them to trade identities.

Avery didn't confirm his theory, but the pause in her response was all the proof he needed. Now, she was stuck in the bowels of his ship, the one he had stolen from PEACe, as he tried to find a way to use her to destroy Vera. To uncover more of their secrets.

Meanwhile

Meanwhile, on a distant planet...

Millions of voices cried out in fear. All of the light from the sun was blocked by a space craft that was larger than anything they had ever seen before. Smaller ships zipped about, plasma and electricity firing from their canons and creating a gridaround the sky. They were netted in, their atmosphere sparking with zaps of power that made the people cry in terror.

One pilot was able to zip through the atmosphere as the net closed about her. She hit hyperdrive, barely managing to squeeze past the mammoth ship in her way. She gunned it, hurtling towards the nearest occupied air space, her planet's only hope.

She would be too late.

An hour after she let the atmosphere of her planet began to buzz. The energy in the ozone being harnessed, being charged. The process had begun.

By the time the pilot returned to her airspace with some Rebel vessels in tow there was nothing left where her home was but a black hole in space.

Jase heard her words and sighed slumping his head down as the door closed. He turned the water on before dunking his head down letting the cold water shock his system. Feeling more awake (and more refreshed) he started to regret his words to her.

"Ugh this is going to take some getting used to" He said sighing and going over to the stuff that was brought over from the falcon.

The falcon!

"Krysten do you know where my ship is?" Jase said excitedly pulling on the simple black t shirt that seemed fitted to show off his muscles.

"Yes like the empress said it is on deck three"

"Great Samantha im guessing you know how to get there?" Jase asked turning and walking over to the door.

"But sir the preperations for the kitchen"

"does PEACe engineers not know how to install a kitchen?" He asked turning and raising an eyebrow at the AI "Krystal if your going to roll with us your going to need an upgrade"

"Is there some thing wrong with my performance?"

"Just need to loosen up a little" Jase smirked going to the door "Tell them to begin work on it immediately" He told her before he was off.

There were surprisingly no guards at the door which spoke volumes to him about Vera's trust in him. He decided not to focus on thatk now and brought up the map Samantha had to his ship.

"So are we making a break for it?" Samantha asked appearing beside him and raising her eyebrows.

"No" Jase said nodding at some PEACe officers "we are just going to check out the ship"

"You know the ship is fine" Samantha said rolling her eyes "Dont lie to me Jase Crestfield"

"I just want to go back to familair ground for a while" Jase said hissing it as they went down a flight deck. He paused looking out the viewport looking at the stars all around him as he contemplated his fate.

"So really that bad huh?" He said sighing

"Worse" Samantha said waving her hand and pulling up the pictures of the creatures coming out of the gate. He squinted making out the vague humanoid shapes that were in the shadows.

Before Samantha or Jase could say any more Vera's meeting with the Fleet commander popped up. Jase listened in for the rest of the trip down to deck three. He kept his comments to him self but made a few mental notes of things to bring up to both the fleet commander and Vera. The man seemed capable enough but he wasnt Jase.

"we are here" Samantha said just as the meeting ended. Jase closed the link and walked up to the gaurds currently gaurding the hanger door.

"My ship I would like to see her" Jase said deciding to try the polite route.

"No one gets in Empress orders" The gaurd snapped narrowing his eyes

"yeah im pretty sure that doesnt apply to me" Jase said rolling his eyes "its my ship as well"

"The ship is the property of PEACe" The gaurd said "not some smuggler filth"

"Careful Jase" Samantha said even though her own eyes were narrowed "Vera wont stand for this"

"So smuggler filth huh?" Jase said his anger rising as he strode forward

"you know the same smuggler filth is fraking your empress right?"

The fist came but Jase took it letting the guard test his strength. It was a good punch enough to make Jase stumble back.

But not enough to put him down

He rose up smirking "wrong move mate" He said launching himself at the man. He ducked his punch picking him up and straight up throwing him into the other guy.

He clapped his hands turning and opening the door.

"Make sure to run and tell your boss what happened" He called to the men before closing the door behind him. He walked over ignoring the other ships parked around the hanger bay and instead running to the one in the center.

His ship

He opened the hanger bay and jumped in walking around

"Feels good to be home" Jase said sighing and running his hand through his hair.

"Yes it does" Samantha said appearing next to him "but you and I both know this had to end"

Jase rose his eyes "harshing the mellow my dear"

Jase shushed her and moved in running his fingers against the bulkhead. He smiled at his ship and then moved going over to his workshop and delving inside. He did what he did best tinkering and ignoring the officer who came by the ship hatch later to "speak" to him.

"Jase" Samantha said appearing a few hours later "council meeting"

"Thanks" he said leaning back watching with interest. For the most part it was fairly boring yet he remained riveted partly because seeing Vera in empress mode was (and he would never admit it to her)

A turn on

She was commanding every bit the leader he knew she was. She was passionate as well arguing and seeming to want the best for her people. It was a side that he thought more people needed to see.

Surely one he needed to

The topic moved to him and he smirked when the council basically asked the same question he had earlier. He was wondering if she would say the same thing to them that she had to him when suddenly the word general was tossed out.

General for PEACe

"No way" He said leaning forward studying her. She seemed interested in the idea and the council with some reluctance did as well. He worked his jaw up and down ignoring Samantha as he mulled it over.

General of a fleet? It wasnt a bad gig. He would be able to protect the babies (and her) and also get to be in space.

Yet it was for PEACe

He sighed leaning back running a finger through his hair.

"Take it" Samantha said placing a hand on his shoulder "You would be good at it"

"You want me to take a PEACe job?" Jase said snorting and shaking his head "you hate them"

"But your in love with the empress and having twins with her" She said laughing "which means your not going any where why not do some thing your good at?"

Jase turned looking at her before getting up "come on lets go get some grub made" He said moving over to the kitchen. He didnt say any thing more on it just went back to his hobby of cooking as he mulled it over.

...................

"I did indeed" Jase thought back coming out of their bedroom. He didnt say any thign about it instead walking over and picking up a tray before handing it to her.

"Fresh from the falcon" He remarked handing her the tray and sitting down opposite of her "totally worth kicking those two grunt's ass"

He leaned back regarding her "samantha is right you know" he said his eyes assessing her with worry.

"Let Samantha help" Jase said nodding at the AI who was seated across from her as well.

"I can help if you plug me into the mainframe" Samantha remarked crossing her arms "I only trust Jase to do it but with me installed I can help your.... lesser AI's and act as your secretary"

"Its one of the conditions to me agreeing to this job" He said nodding at her "but its to make both of our jobs easier"

"As for me being general" Jase said leaning in "I guess were in negotiations empress?" He said smirking and giving her a sly wink.

"why me?" He said raising an eyebrow
