This story has been a problem from the beginning. (Babysitter Skye). I first tried to upload an .RTF file and it got a message that the story had already been submitted it show in the "being edited??" box . This was around Nov 22. The next day I delete it and started again. Still no luck uploading the file. So I cut and pasted it into the story box and and it finally accepted it and it shows up in pending. It's been in the pending folder since Nov 25.

I've submitted quite a few stories with out any problems and they were published in at most 3 days. I don't know why it didn't take the .RTF file or where it is now.

I'd appreciate any help.

The story is still pending. I've had two other stories published since. I resubmitted it 12/6/25

ich habe auch 2 Stories in "pending", schon seit 4 Wochen!

I have 2 stories in pending since 4 weeks! Why?

Waiting four weeks plus here. Sent a short story into pending on 11/23. Took it out of queu on 12/19, made some changes then placed it back into pending. Currently 12/19 to 12/27.

Hi Western Tiger here. I also have had a story stuck in pending forever. Submitted in early Feb and it sat there for 20+ days (The Father-In-Law). So I deleted in on the 23 and resubmitted on the 24 and it is in pending. In the old days, 4 days was a long time - I have never had a story wait longer then 5 in 20 years on this site. So I am wondering is something changed or is there a new policy I am unaware of? I have written to Literotica on various contact points by no return message. Anyone know of any changes to submitting or policy? The characters are all over 30 so no underage.

Hi all, story posted on 3rd of February, still 'pending'. Resubmitted it again, no change for over a week now. Contacted tech support but no answer. Same experience as westerntiger, been with Literotica for over 15 years, never had any problems until now. I am wondering what has changed. Tried to update bio to let my readers know that there's a problem with publishing, but keep getting error "Attempt to change unsupported field headerImageData". Contacted tech support for this as well... you guessed it, no answer to that either

I've simply asked them to remove an unintended dash in the title of one chapter of a story, which is preventing it sitting correctly in sequence. My second attempt (they ignored my first try for weeks, which blocked another submission) has now been sitting in 'pending' since 26th March. Every attempt to contact Literotica people goes into a black hole, and every message or piece of feedback I've ever sent them is either unanswered or has the status 'Not Resolved'. Anyone know of a way of breaking through the barrier and actually getting a response?

I have a problem where an edit had to be published because half the text is stuck over if you try to read it if you're logged into an account. It doesn't seem to happen if you read it anonymously.

It's been sitting in pending for 12 days now. I have tried to reach out to the tech support too. I have not been on this site for a long time and am already looking for alternatives.

I've also been pending since 3/26. Did not get a response from that Laurel person who was mentioned in a different thread. It's the third installment of an existing story, so the content is as aligned with site policy as its ever been. If it wasn't, I would think it would've been bounced back by now.

Would love to hear from someone recently who got unstuck, if they did anything thay helped. Very frustrating that there is no support inbox to reach out to. The help/FAQ page is completely useless.

My stories used to sail through. Never violated any policies. Now things are multiple days and nothing gone live for a couple of weeks. So frustrating. I went and removed emojis in case that was it. Still stuck/glacial. What the heck is going wrong with this platform, I wonder?

It kind of feels like all the admins have taken a vacation and not publicised it. It's absurd how long things are stuck in pending.

My story that appeared this morning was submitted on Friday morning and approved on Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, I have another story that has been in Pending Purgatory off and on since January. I've resubmitted it, pulled it for additional editing before submitting it as new, changed the title, and submitted it as a new story before deleting the old one to make sure it didn't just update the old database record.

I've had the same problem in the past and done the exact same thing. It took a couple of months to get published. I have one that has been in limbo for three weeks. I've decided to leave it alone, for now. Once it hits one month, I'm going to submit a duplicate so the current one doesn't go to the back of the line again. I have another chapter written that I can't submit until the last one is published.

I agree. I have three stories stuck in writing purgatory, two of which are part of a series, and have more parts ready to go, but I'm terrified to submit those and have those go live before the chapters already waiting. Is there anyone to reach out to? I've sent several "tickets" in asking for help and zero return contact. At this point, I'm considering just creating my own website/blog/substack. This is getting insane.

PM Laurel.

You are a godsend. I swear im not trying to sound dumb, but like here? On Twitter? Is there a handle they use? Thank you again. I'm so over story purgatory.

You probably won't get a reply, but your story might move. Be polite in your message, don't rant against the site, because she owns the site.

You are the literal best. Thank you!!!!

I have had one stuck for two weeks. Pulled it and edited the beginning thinking it may have just got stuck somewhere. Resubmitted it in 4/06 and checked today 04/27 and it is still pending.

Did you have any luck? I messaged Laurel too, and my story still didn't move. I ended up resubmitting after it was pending for over a month because I read in another thread about a glitch where sometimes the stories don't appear in the review queue.

I have not. Still pending. I've reached out and no response. I'm close to giving up

Thanks for posting this and for all the replies you've been giving around the forum surrounding this topic. I've tried all of these suggestions at this point, still no movement. I would settle for an acknowledgement from the site that there are issues at the moment and that things will take a long time due to staffing or whatever. The last post I saw was addressing stories stuck for more than 72 hours! Comical when so many writers in here and across multiple threads are waiting months in some cases.

Good advice. Should always be gentle and grateful to the site overlords--of any internet site. Savvy... I wish Laurel would tell us how we all can help out.

So, it has now been a month since I tried to re-submit what I my edit and nothing has happened. I have tried to reach out to admins and even tech support because of the reason to why I had to make an edit. Is there any other way to make things run smoother that I am missing?
