Story stuck in Pending

So, it has now been a month since I tried to re-submit what I my edit and nothing has happened. I have tried to reach out to admins and even tech support because of the reason to why I had to make an edit. Is there any other way to make things run smoother that I am missing?

I wouldn't imagine you're missing anything. It just seems that edited stories have a very low priority for publishing and so once you followed all the steps for submitting the EDITED version all you can do is sit back and wait.

My latest story was stuck in pending for over 40 days. I PM'd Laurel twice, and I resubmitted it three days ago. We'll see what happens. I have another chapter waiting for this one to be published, too, but I won't submit it until my latest gets published. It's frustrating but we're at the mercy of Laurel. It has discouraged me from writing other stories. I can't see writing any more if they won't get published.

Yeah I can understand your frustration but on the other hand, when you consider the number of stories, across all the different categories, that get published each day, it's not too surprising that there will be glitches now and again. Hopefully your resubmit will move a little faster. Apparently, according to some other forum threads about this, the site was suffering from an intermittent problem where stories were getting caught in a kind of pending limbo, so fingers crossed for your second attempt.
