Kali lattempted to swim away but knew it would be pointless considering he was already close to her. She laughed as he grabbed her legs, pulling her to where she could stand on her own again.

She splashed him playfully.. "I don't remember daring you in the first place...I simply asked if you were coming or not...Smart ass." She moved to the side and lifted herself up and out of the water so her legs were still dangling in it. She smiled at him as she watched the water run down his body.

"Well, did this wake you up a little bit?" She leaned back so she was leaning on her elbows. "I'm glad you decided to stick around for a little while...I would have been really bored and felt really lame all by myself."

Dane liked the feeling of Kali so close to him. He finished his beer, feeling a bit buzzed.

Kali smiled when he squeezed her hand. "Hey its way easier for me not to be on my best behavior." she shrugged her shoulders as she watched him head into the house for another beer.

She took her's from him and raised it to clink against his in their toast, "To freedom." she smiled and took a long sip...that's when she realized how close Dane was to her.... It was almost like he was going to kiss her....

Dane had a moment of hesitation but he went in for the kiss. He leaned on his side and put his hand on Kali's back, turning her to face him. He hadn't kissed any girl other than Hailey in a long time. That had been a mistake, obviously. None of it mattered now, though. So she wasn't going crazy, he did look like he was going to kiss her. Before it even had time to register she felt him pulling her to face him, and his lips were on her's.. Dane wasn't sure of his motives to kiss Kali. Part of it was to spite Ashley, no doubt. But more of it was an attraction to her. He brushed aside it was the alcohol, it may have relaxed his doubts if he should make a move, but the feelings were there regardless.

It was a quick kiss but it held the promise of more. He wasn't going to push the issue too much but the facts were it had been too long since he had sex, and he was spending the night at her house.

"IDK whether to accept or not yet... Dane and Kali walked to the edge of the pool. He looked over and grinned at her. He undid his shorts and stripped to his boxer briefs. "I cant be weighted down by these...on three...there and back." He counted down, looking over at Kali with a sly smile. "One...two...three." He paused as she dove in, then jumped in after her. He almost caught up but let her stay a few paces ahead of him. They turned at the far edge almost in unison when he let up again. When they were close to finishing he lunged ahead of her, touching the wall seconds before her and climbing out. He smiled down at her. "I thought you had me there Kali but a bets a bet." His voice was filled with eager anticipation.

Kali laughed as she was able to stop and look up, seeing he had in fact beat her.

She shook her head laughing as she climbed out of the water, "I now know better than to bet against you."
