Summoner: BotDG

kame was aware of a lady, a man, and some fool yelling about fighting snowmen. he quickly faded into a corner, trying to hide his apperence(and doing a decent attempt at it). he then projected his voice about 2 feet away(about as far as he can) and spoke. "who r u? were am i? is your blood type(says rare blood type here)?"

The portal of the white gate opened once more and a tall slender elf in full dragon armor except for his helm which was held in his left hand. He looked around slowly, his face bearing a look of confusion. "This is clearly not the Dragon stables." He turned around, trying to get his bearings and figure out where he was. Touching his hand to the blue dragon talon around his neck, he attempted to contact Bolt, which was his blue dragon mount for he was the Blue Dragon flight talon of the Knights of Neraka.

His attempt to contact his dragon though proved futile and his puzzlement increased. There had never been a time when he could not contact Bolt since he had joined the Knighthood fifty years ago. Noticing a large white gate to his left, Malyn moved to it and begen to examine it. Finding nothing to explain why he was here rather then the Dragon stables, Malyn decided that he was here for some reason or another. So here he would wait to see why.

Mina arched a brow at the ...how do the young folk put it? Dork. As the dork ran up the stairwell. Behind her another arrived.

"I think I'll stay here for the moment, if you don't mind." She said, and put her hands in her jacket pockets and leaned against the wall. "And I hope I assuming correctly that, from what you've said, we will be returning home and this isn't a one way ticket."

Rijin Kin and others

IC: all: The time past quickly and there were two new arivals, from the white gate. I didn't think it normal for one gate to be active so much more then the other two, but then again little was known on the subject of these gates. Even the best scientists and wizards could only speculate on the exact nature of existence, and the gates were the closest thing to the nature of existence.

"All right, no sense waiting down here any more. I think you three should join me up stairs. There I can give a detailed explanation of why you are here, and how you can get back." I hoped the bait was enticeing enough to lure them out.

I then made my way up the stairs slowly to see who would fallow.

IC: Alleron: The hall you run in is made of white marble, and displays bands of pink and red. The tempature falls as you climb the stairs, and when you begin to think the stairs won't end you come to a storeroom full of sacks flour, sugar, salt, and other common spices. To the back of the room are wooden creates full of metal cylinders that say chiken stock, and other such things.

kame heard the man, and decided that it was best to fallow him. he had little choice, he didnt know were he was, why, or who these people were. He steped out of the shadows and introduced himself as kame, ruler of the nightmagic.

Alleron was puzzled, he had encountered no fell beast. Only a room full of cooking ingredients. "What a strange place this is." he said, sheathing his sword. "I do not like this place, tis surely full with dark magic."

Monk and Rijin Kin

IC: Alleron: "Can I help you good sir?" A monk stepped down the stairs he had been away preparing rooms for the new perspective hero's. Now he was excited to see what fate had conjured up.

"Do you need a drink or maybe some sort of a meal? I am sure you'll find while this building is very old our pallets are not."

ic: Rijin Kin: 'First the worst!' I shot a glance at Sapphire the blood haired woman that would be training a group of rivals shortly. She was an intense personality I already didn't care for. "Disregard her and lets be on our way."

"All of you are in the white tower." I took steps as I talked, confident that I wouldn't loose my breath. I decided not to look back and make eye contact sense I could here some one was fallowing me.

"This is among the holiest places on earth, in large part because it has summoned you. All of you and our egar friend who ran out earlier are competitors for a grand prize. You see a new god will soon be born, and as is normal for this sort of thing a contest is being held. It isn't a race or a fight but rather a string of fights, races, puzzles, and other such things. To the winner goes the grand prize of a single wish before you return home."

I stopped and turned around disregarding my earlier rule. "Before any one gets the wrong idea, the beginning of this tournament is team based and your all on the same team. So despite that you'll eventually be rivals for now your allies. I will be your trainer, or coach."

Malyn followed silently, his dragon helm still in his left hand. Once they were all in the tower, he spoke. His voice was low, but cultured with a touch of melody to it and the faintest of accents. "So if we have been brought here for a contest, might I ask what happens in our own realms? I imagine that many those that you gathered here have duties to fulfill and oaths to uphold."

"Can I help you good sir?"

Alleron looked at the monk, "No need good sir, I was simply looking for a way to the outside. I'll be returning down the stairs. Good day." Alleron said, bowing slightly. He turned and went back down the stairs, emerging to the sound of Rijin's voice.

the beginning of this tournament is team based and your all on the same team. So despite that you'll eventually be rivals for now your allies. I will be your trainer, or coach.

Alleron looked at the new arrivals, there was Lady Harker, who he had met earlier. She seemed to be a mere woman, he could not see where she would be necessary for such a competition. The elf-kin looked to be a fellow knight, and the other looked to be some sort of mage.

"Who are these?" he asked Rijin. "I am Alleron Talarus, Duke of Stormgarde, Marchwarden of the Northern Reachers, and Rune-knight in the service of King Soren of Garlyn."

" A god?" Mina frowned. There was only one god, and while she had to admit something was going on here beyond her realm of knowelge...she had enough gods and devils of her own already. "And why would we compete for this wish? Does this wish extend to our home ..." She waved a hand, unsure what to call the places where they all came from.

Rijin Kin et Monk

IC: Monk: The monk looked disappointed as it headed up another flight of stairs.

IC: Rijin Kin: The blue armored knight asked about his home and then the lady fallowed suite asking about the wish. "Both are valid questions, and now that you are all here I am willing to answer them."

'Who are these?' Crap I didn't know I would be tested on there names. 'I am Alleron Talarus, Duke of Stormgarde, Marchwarden of the Northern Reaches, and Rune-knight in the service of King Soren of Garlyn.'

"Okay this is..." I pointed at the girl "Mina, who's question I will answer shortly. That one in the blue armor is.." his name was similar sounding wasn't it. "Miii, meee, it begins with an M." I point to the shadowy one "He is Kame." One hell of a confidence boost, stumbling over names. Why can't I just call them you, or hey you for formal situations.

"You can exchange stories later. First the questions. Nothing will happen in your home until you return, that is part of the deal. You can spend years here and no time will pass in your world till you return. As for the wish, I don't know if it effects your world, honestly this is likely to be the only time this event happens in my lifetime. Also I've never been to your world. But in general I have heard three different types of wishes, although these are old stories, some wish for things here, others for a change in their home, and then a third group wish for personal change. Stuff like happiness and power. Personally I'd probably begin by asking for unlimited wishes, I mean its obvious but I've never heard of some one trying it. It makes me curious."

Alleron inclined his head slightly at the new arrivals. "Let us start then,my patience grows thin."

Mina was getting irked by the whole affair, but patience was a virtue she stove to cultivate. The woman they had passed looked like a spiteful cow, and the man in armor apparently had a problem with chafing because he looked ready to start a fight and the fact he ran up the stairs with his sword drawn at the mention of snowmen....She shook her head ruefully and kept her own council.

"Duke Talarus of Stormgarde, I am Malyn Lyian Kennyrathem. Lord Commander of Blue Dragons of the Knights of Neraka. It would seem that our roles are not so far apart other then the fact that I am going to guess that your form of attack is a straight forward attack. Perhaps a commander in the service of your king? Leader of other knights such as yourself and in possession of magic of a rune nature rather then pure form?"

He turned slightly to the shadowy figure near the wall. "A shadow walker or perhaps a vampire?"

Mina looked to see who he was talking to, but then guessed that it was herself. "At the moment I am a confused woman in a room full of men with pointy sharp objects. It seems prudent to stay out of their way until they have settled into a pecking order."

kame listined to everyone, and started to get his bearings. apperantly this god could cure him of drinking blood! unlimited whishes werent a bad idea either..

He turned slightly to the shadowy figure near the wall. "A shadow walker or perhaps a vampire?"

"i am a vampire good man, thou i may be a shadow stalker, cause im not sure what that is. In any case, i am a vampire wizard. apperantly my magic dosnt work here, but then again, i haven't tried...._a match appeared and was pulled into the cape by what looked like a shrivled arm._ I guess i can still do it! _he pulled up a cigar and started smoking._Rijin, i hope you dont mind smoking."

Malyn laughed at the woman's comment. "I apologize Milady. I have forgotten my manners, you needn't worry. None of my pointy sharp objects shall blemish your skin." Then turning his head he looked at Rijin. "My name is Malyn."

"Lord Commander Kennyrathem, you speak truth. I am one of the kings chosen champion, like any marchwarden. I am also Duke of Stormgarde, and therefore Lord Protector of the realm, second only to the King in due honour. What is this pure magic you speak of? In Garlyn there is no other, there is only the runes, and those with willpower enough to command them." He looked to Lady Harker, clearly offended. "Lady Harker, I neither could nor would harm an unarmed lady. Killing a warrior woman intent on your blood is distasteful even if it is necessary, but to harm an unarmed woman, there can be no greater dishonour." he said. "And you vampyre, what is to lead me to trust you? Vampyre Lords have long menaced the eastern marches of Garlyn, why should you be any different?"

"i dont know were the eastern marches of Garlyn are, but you have nothing to fear from me at the moment, my friend. Among my kind i am known as a weakling, because i age more frequently then others, and have weakened powers. The only thing that keeps me alive is my magic, and i dont seem to have much, if any, here. So put your distrust aside, and fight alongside a fellow magician(in a sense)."

Alleron eyed the vampyre suspiciously then spoke. "Very well dark one. But remember that my sword has felled many of your kin."

"your point? anyone can kill a vampire, myself included. The question is wether you can do it to a vampire that has some status. Otherwise, noone cares, even fellow vampires. i do heed the warning thou."

*sighs* "vampires are not very trusted, as we have little to no code of values or honer. One thing we do have is the knowledge of our own streanth. And right now i honestly think you could kill me if i didn't run fast enough.

*backs away slightly, mumbling* "If i didn't run fast....

"Duke Talarus, in my realm there are several forms of magic. Wild magic which is raw and unpredictable. Magical items such as enchanted weapons and armor. My scimitars are such weapons as they are sentient and are able to speak telepathically. Divine Magic, magic from the gods, wielded by priests, clerics and paladins. Finally there is what is known by some as pure magic, it is harnessed by wizards and mages."

"such as me" kame says, comming forward proudly, them quickly backing away again. "i may not have the purest magic, but it is pureish..."

IC: "None of you will make it past the fist round if you don't work together. Of coarse if you wish to battle sparing makes good training but first, we must make it outside." I began to walk upward again. "You have to admit that it is impressive to be so far down. But we are almost to ground level now, so it won't be long."

I took a breath before speaking again. "I trust all of you have dreams, so let me begin there. Over the years it has become the assumption of those that come here, that this is the true form of the world. I don't necessarily buy into that, but in any case this world links to every place that exists. The places you are from are a bit like dreams of the world, that is why you have changed upon entering here, some of you lost magic, some of you lost power and endurance. I've even heard stories of giants that arrive with dwarf statures, so perhaps your all lucky."

"In a way for all of you being here is similar to being in a dream. You'll see things here that you won't in your world. The trick I need to teach you is to notice this place is just a dream. Once you realize this you should gain a level of control here, and like in a dream there are no limits to what you can do. That is the key difference between you and most locals, is that you have unlimited potential here their is nothing but time, effort, and practice keeping you from lifting a mountain." We were now well past the store room and approaching the end of the last flight of stairs.

"Now then I understand your general will is to begin learning and go outside. Then I will start by showing you the skill you all must master before the tournament begins." I opened the door to the outside. "Forgive me I have misspoken. Only a few can be said to of mastered this skill."

this is a dream? it is a very real one. but i suppose i can do whatever i want in a dream. i could start a friutstand! or move a montain... friutstand.... mountain........ so many choices.... ill do both!
