Supreme Court Declares Same-Sex Marriage Legal In All 50 States

LOL every RW hater is going to nit pick every single thing they can out in front of the SCOTUS for the next 200 fuckin' years.

Something I don't understand...

"Once the state is removed from the equation, the center added, “no one can force another to accept their marriage, nor can they force another to reject that person’s own beliefs regarding an institution older than government.”

Why does the RW believe other people having different religious view being treated equally under the law is a direct attack on their beliefs/rights?

No one is invalidating or prohibiting traditional marriage. Yet they act as though that's exactly what has happened and they are being forced at gun point to become gay and like it!! LOL wtf is that shit about?

Yes, that's the confusing part to me. They act so damn scared of....what? Being forced to allow people to get married isn't the same thing as being forced to marry the same sex. Nobody's going to put a gun to anyone's head and say, "Divorce your wife and marry this man instead."

Really? Cus I was about two thirds of the way through my plan to get Rebecca Romajin Stamos, Beyonce and Angelina Jolie into a three way marriage.

So, should I be put to death for having sex with my ex when she was on her period?

I think we should start making it illegal to work on Sunday.

Actually, if they imposed the Torah, the Christians would be in deep trouble. Only Jews, Messianic Jews, and Seventh-Day Adventists would be okay.

Why the Christians? The first five books (the Pentateuch) of the Old Testament in the Bible are the Torah.

They would be stoned for breaching the Sabbath, which is dusk on Friday to dusk on Saturday.

Just for once i would love if someone would explain how this effects them personally or there religion in any way.

As you wish.

My mother is gay. She lives in FL after moving from OH and got married to her partner in 2014 in NY, where it was legal. Her marriage is now recognized in all 50 states and she has full rights to file joint taxes, yada yada.

My mother is a lying, bitter piece of shit. I wish her nothing but misery and torment. She has made my life a living hell, and her partner is even worse.

This is how this decision negatively affects me. By giving a victory to a complete piece of shit.

OK, that's one side of that story, but what again does her marriage being recognized in 50 states and being able to file joint returns impact your life and your own privileges to do anything?

It impacts my ability not to listen to her gloat about it, which involves hearing from her, which makes me want to hang myself.

Please don't get the wrong idea. I don't give a flaming shit if every other alphabet soup person in the country wants to get married as long as I don't have to attend the wedding (I'm horrible bad luck at weddings - EVERY couple whose wedding I attend gets divorced.) But these two? They can go fuck themselves off a cliff. And I wish them misery.

Oh well; they live in FL. There's always alligators.

It left out one man and both his first cousins (and both their maid servants).

Not to mention this bit of supreme logic:

Deuteronomy 24:1-4 ESV /

When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, and she departs out of his house, and if she goes and becomes another man's wife, and the latter man hates her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter man dies, who took her to be his wife, then her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after she has been defiled, for that is an abomination before the Lord. And you shall not bring sin upon the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance.

So what I'm hearing is you, like everyone who is bitching about it, has no actual legal argument against gay marriage nor did they loose any freedoms of any kind.......right.

So...they can't just admit, "Hey, this divorce was a mistake, let's get back together."

Yeah....smart as a whip, that writer.

That depends. Are you trying to tell me I don't have the right to be pissed off? Because if so...then I am losing a valuable right in this case. And if not...then I fully intend to invoke my right to be pissed off.

Because my moth...my egg donor doesn't deserve the right to chew gum, let alone the right to get married. Every other gay person in America? Go. Get married. I don't honestly give a hot fuck. But her? She can go get eaten by an alligator.

All you need to say is that you don't like your mother.

Whatever it is between you and her has zilch to do with gay marriage being legal now.

Right, the point is that you being pissed at your mother, who happens to be with another woman, has nothing to do with the issue of same-sex marriage being made legal for all in all fifty states.

(Although I must say, I'm beginning to like your mother more and more. :D)

I don't like it is all the legal reason you need. Its like being king by conquest.

And I can be pissed off if I want to. Frankly, sometimes being pissed off is fun.

And if you met my egg donor and decide you like her...then judging by the company she keeps, you're very odd.
