Surprise! Canadian Federal Erection Thread

I hope he doesn't. The more he say's, the angrier we will get, which will drive up the turnout.
True; a low turnout generally favors the incumbent.

And the conservatives loudest supporters are the least likely to vote on election day.

Hat wearers. “ that was TODAY?? Fuck”

here's some cold hard facts and serious discussion regarding Canada's current federal election:

I guess this is why he won’t apply for a Security Clearance.

The Modi sponsored assassinations in Canada now take on a different tone.

Lol

Fucking PP, he's now saying anything to drum up votes....

But lets not forget this little tid bit.....from "before" Trump was president....

https://www.formac.ca/starrspoint/2024/04/28/the-facts-vs-poilievre-part-1-dental-and-pharmacare/

"But on the matter of BS, Poilievre is the quintessential fire-blackened “pot” projecting towards Trudeau, the “kettle,” a character deficiency that Poilievre has been showing to a startling and flagrant degree."

Glad I abandoned the Cons when I did....

So for the Mericans, today there was some mud slinging about who’s in bed with who:

- seems the India Government was involved in Polievre’s Leadership campaign for the Cinservative Party

- and apparently Carney’s Brookfield Asset Management borrowed 276 Million from some Chinese bank recently and Carney hangs out with Xi talking about mutual deals.

Personally I think Canada should be as cozy with China trade wise as the US is.

Canadian Federal Elections are usually won by the party that is perceived as most centrist.

The Liberals have successfully shifted to the middle, leaving the left to the NDP and the right to the Conservatives.

Canada has lots of progressive legislation in place, so NDP voters are shifting to the Liberals to block the Conservatives.

Trudeau and Carney have been working this strategy for nearly 2 years, hoping Trump would win and give them the enemy they need.

Looks like it worked… but it aint over yet!

Mulclair has come out and said for NDP supporters to vote Liberal...

bullshit.

bullshit.
Says who… you? :)

“Carney also worked as one of many informal advisors to Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau during the COVID-19 pandemic and was made chair of the Liberal Party's economic growth taskforce in September 2024.”

Carney’s been in the background with Trudeau prepping for this election for 18 Months.

If Trudeau’s numbers hadn’t disappeared, Carney would have been Finance Minister/ Deputy PM… thats why Kristia left in a huff… edged out.

Yep.
“Carney also worked as one of many informal advisors to Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau during the COVID-19 pandemic and was made chair of the Liberal Party's economic growth taskforce in September 2024.”
So?
Carney’s been in the background with Trudeau prepping for this election for 18 Months.
I'm not buying what you're trying to sell.

Potentially true, assuming the government wasn't bought down after the return. But, JT can't command the vote for who is the new leader. He could only agree to step down, vs being forced out. That was his only choice. After that, the next leader is chosen by the Party.

Liberals widen their lead in national polls

The Liberals are continuing to climb in the polls and are widening their lead over the Conservatives, putting them deeper into majority territory.

I’ve thought about coming to this thread and trolling Canadian politics just for kicks and giggles with the hope of being liked but I just couldn’t. I respect Canada and see know how we are separate countries but intricately tied with aligned interests. I don’t need Carney, Trudeau, or Poilievre to threaten America with tariffs or invasion to come to my senses you fucking prick of a member you shitstain fuckup you, Lance.

Carney has been the First Draft Pick for Canadian high office for over 20 years.

Canada has one of the most stable banking sectors in the world and a lower Debt to GDP ratio per capita than the USA

Rich in resources, small in population with a harsh climate, Canada relies on smart Trade.

Carney is right for this moment.

Agreed. I usually vote NDP but not this time. Singh has been less than inspiring.

Carney has tons of experience in both the political and economic spheres. You don't run national banks without skills in both.

My biggest worry is will he be a good wartime leader. Because Trump wants a war so bad he can taste it and it's either going to be Mexico or Canada.
