Surprise! Canadian Federal Erection Thread

Oh yeah, he’s boring as dirt, but knows global trade and finance inside out.

Perfect for the trump years, in my view.

Let’s see how many truly stupid things trump says over the next 5 weeks to further galvanize Canadians against him.
New boss, same as the old boss!
We won’t get fooled again!!!
I did. Not pretty for you.
Just like the Turd, Carny has the kind of face you could punch all day!

AS I posted to M2427, PP is the guy who models himself after Trump.

Carney could state he wants to double the taxes on carbon, and I'd still vote for him over some fuck who wants us to become more like the US.
This election is only about one thing, who is going to be the better person to stand up to Trump, and keep our country from becoming a vassal to the US. I can't see PP being that person.

You want to vote for Trump lite, NP's, just keep in mind what happened in the US to get Trump in power....

Every day the cbc’s aggregate polltracker ( uses data from all the real polling companies) keeps edging the Libs up.

Today:

  • LIBM. Carney
    40.2%
    +0.3

  • CONP. Poilievre
    37.3%

  • NDPJ. Singh
    9.7%
    –0.2

I was thinking about Rebel’s Constitutional remark… the USA could annex Canada by Treaty or Purchase or by Force or a combination, which is what their Constitution allows.

There’s no requirement for annexed Canuckistanis to have Citizenship or even a Vote.

If we're annexed by the US we'll be given territorial status, at best.

More likely we'll be treated as an occupied enemy nation as Iraq was treated.

Worst case will be ethnic cleansing to provide 'living room for good Americans'.

Yes he did…

Partisanship aside, the Liberals have outmanouvered the Conservatives through 3 Leadership changes in 9 years.

Now by dropping trudeau and the carbon tax, the Conservatives are left with no wind in their sails, having squandered a 20 Point Lead (!) 5 weeks before Election Day.

If they lose, PP is finished.

Then they'll probably merge with Bernier's National Socialist Workers Party. Wait! People's Party!

The authoritarians and barbarians masquerading as conservatives can't move even a degree to the centre so rightward it is.

A vote for a liberal is a vote for the breakup
🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦!

“Over the coming weeks, months and years, we must fundamentally reimagine our economy,” Carney told reporters in Ottawa after meeting with the cabinet committee on Canada-U.S. relations.

“The old relationship we had with the United States based on deepening integration of our economies and tight security and military cooperation is over.”

Reimagine, like the Turd before him.
Leading to a lost decade for Canada.
The Turds economic incompetence, record high spending and massive debt.
Turd and his idiot brigade have fucked up everything they involved themselves in.
But you go ahead and keep on licking that liberal boot Fidel!

Really? I'll take my chances on the LIb's over a potential break up.

I was in Quebec in October of 1995. It was close but many who voted to leave, thought it was just a negotiating position to take to get a better Federal deal. Good thing for Quebec they stayed in.

I was in Alberta in 1980 when PET dropped the NEP, at that time I'd guess 8 out of 10 would have voted to leave the country if there was a referendum. Now from what I see it's about 1 in 10. Saskatchewan I would say is the province that would have the most resentment of Liberals, but they don't want to be Americans. They also don't have the economies of either Alberta or Quebec. So they are not about to leave.

You let your fear take you where you wish. As I said this election is about one thing, Trump. Prime Ministers become dictators when elected, understanding that point means out of the three major parties their policies alone are what Canada will negotiate on.

PP has a history of alignment with Trump and far right policies. Do you honestly think he will stand up for Canada as it is now, or will he work towards some kind of agreement where he gives away our resources, and we get to stay an "independent" country.

Singh doesn't have the strength of character, he can't even rally his own caucus, was afraid to bring down the Liberals when he could have. Instead he negotiated a deal with Justin, to get a couple programs (Dental and Pharma care) passed by the Liberals. An easy deal for the Libs to make. Also when you look at the Dental program, the Lib never even worked with the CDA to create it (don't believe me, ask your dentist) . Talk about a recipe for program failure. Or in other words, Hey Singh, we tried but the Dentists never bought in. Sorry but Singh's not the guy I want making a deal.

That leaves Carney, a guy who comes for a banking back ground, knows how world economies work. He's also an unknown, so Trump and crew will have problems trying to pigeon hole how he will negotiate. Carney worked with the Obama administration during the 2008 financial crisis, and while we may never know how much he directed the American response, you can bet he has a very good idea of the weakness in the American economy so when we punch back, those punches will hurt America the most, and Canada the least.

To me when I look at those three that leaves just Carney and the Libs. I don't really care what else he does besides stand up for Canada and make Trump economically sorry, no matter the price I have to personally pay. After he has done that, if I don't like the rest, I'll vote him out the next time around.

I agree, Justin spending 53 Billion dollars to build a fucking pipeline through the mountains to ship your crude overseas....meanwhile back here in Ontario we have pay for Saudi oil refined on the east coast. Fuck off with your whining. If you'd have left that money could have been better used elsewhere. After all you're just here bitching about the debt, no acknowledgement that Alberta's a major part of that deficit.

Lower mainland B.C., and Vancouver suburbs have always been a Liberal and NDP stronghold. Their support for the current Liberal goverment remained steadfast during past decade.

The following video was recorded tonight in Surrey B.C. (It was past 10PM on a weekday) :

I wonder if CBC et al. will be covering any of this? or perhaps they won't have time to cover it as it might unfortunately interfere with their scheduled programming virtue signaling us about Al Gore's Inconvenient truths, or perhaps telling us how Suzuki's saving some exotic butterflies in a remote South Pacific island, etc...

It's still about the same number of rednecks, not enough to win a referendum, but they can always hope.

A poll commissioned by independent journalist Rachel Parker shows 36% of Albertans would support Alberta independence and 20% would support Alberta becoming a US state or territory.

https://www.westernstandard.news/news/poll-suggests-growing-support-for-alberta-sovereignty/63328

At any given time depending on economic or political waves, you could get similar poll results in about 4-6 provinces.

“ baseline bitching”

Lol

I'm amazing that support for conservatives in Canada went from 80% to 20% in less than a month
