I get that. I just don't know how it can be justified to never let Trump speak about them for the rest of his life. And it's very likely he'll say something that they could sue him for another $50 million or something.

Rudy will have to sell everything he owns, including possibly a couple diseased organs, maybe part of his pickled liver, to pay Ruby and Shaye what he owes them. But Trump is rich, remember? He only told us about 14,000 times.

Why? Because this verdict sets up a Constitutional crisis whereby a former President may be sitting in a state jail when he is elected to the highest office in the nation. An office which would allow him to mobilize the National Guard to break him out of that jail while at the same time be subject to the 25th Amendment as being incapable of administering the duties of The Office of the President of the United States. The question becomes; at that point is he or is he not the President? If he is, then the conviction is treason. If he is not, then who is? Presidential succession cannot happen if there is no President to succeed because Trump would be the one elected, not his running mate.

It further implicates the concept of Federalism where the SCOTUS deemed that the States do not have the power to imperil the Federal Government by actions which directly affect the Federal government. Imprisoning Trump does that.

So go ahead and gloat over you moment in the sun, you got him. Enjoy the warmth of that pyrrhic victory, it will be short lived.

I think, with his violent threats, tandt69 makes a good case for the FBI subpoening some of the posts on here. The admins do a good job of monitoring and weeding out illegal sexual content (u-18) but stuff like the violent threats he posts, are equally nefarious and deserve a banning AT LEAST. People like this may follow through with their actions and this site could be held liable if they do not act on it by at least reporting his posts.

For the record, I blocked him after he private-messaged me a bunch of the usual threats of violence. I am frankly surprised his screen name hasn't gone the way of Snailspace and BotanyBoy/GothTalk yet.

And of course, they all like to hide behind the "Free Speech" argument...

Sorry, I was off busy living my life and not thinking about you or any of the other fuckwits on this board.

The gag order was "lifted" because it was no longer in effect. All you're seeing is what's called "housekeeping" in legal circles. That includes stuff like this and the resolution of any motions which were taken under advisement (which will be blanket denied because the trial is over) and so forth.

It's just clean up.

It also changes nothing about what I've said. Once the trial was over, the gag order expired.
