T found guilty on all accounts

As are your feeble attempts to flaunt your “legal expertise”.

:)

Then I guess we're equal in that we're a couple of asses.

Except I've always admitted that I am because I have no illusions about myself.

You, not so much.

Sorry, I was off busy living my life and not thinking about you or any of the other fuckwits on this board.

The gag order was "lifted" because it was no longer in effect. All you're seeing is what's called "housekeeping" in legal circles. That includes stuff like this and the resolution of any motions which were taken under advisement (which will be blanket denied because the trial is over) and so forth.

It's just clean up.

It also changes nothing about what I've said. Once the trial was over, the gag order expired.
The New York Court of Appeals on Tuesday declined to hear former President Donald Trump's appeal of the gag order in the hush money case in which he was convicted last month. The state's highest court said it was dismissing the appeal "upon the ground that no substantial constitutional question is directly involved."

:)

I couldn’t remember which thread this "argument" was in, but I have been demanding that Derpy APOLOGIZE for / ADMIT to being WRONG in several other threads.

I wonder if Derpy will APOLOGIZE for / ADMIT to being WRONG in this thread, based on this most recent ruling???

🤔

I had to do an advanced search to find it, myself.

Others on the right are capable of admitting when they are wrong on occasion. Unfortunately, Harpy is not one of them. I predict more word salads and insults from him.

Fyp.

👍

Side note:

Those on “the right” are becoming ever more recalcitrant when it comes to admitting they are wrong.

They have FULLY adopted the behaviors of their cult leader.

👎

Sure if “moot” (not sure why you put quotes around that) means Trump is still gagged.

From the article:

That means the gag order imposed on Trump by state Judge Juan Merchan is still in effect.

:)

Well, it's that and they also understand what the word "moot" means.

Something neither you, nor the usual idjits who responded to your post, do.

🙄

The word Derpy is looking for is “mute”.

As in: The corrupt orange traitor must remain “mute” on attacking jurors, family members, etc in “The Hush Money case”, because the gag order is STILL in effect.

Hope that ^ helps.

👍.

👉 Derpy 🤣

1. The trial is over and the appeals court decided not to hear the appeal "on an expedited basis." Why? Probably because the question was moot since the trial is over. That the appellate court also decided that "no Constitutional question" was contained in the appeal is probably because; A) the issue is moot; and, B) the trial was over and the gag order expired. Meaning that Trump's 1st Amendment Rights aren't impacted.

2. I would advise against trusting the legal analysis of reporters, they tend to get things seriously wrong. Which may be why you seem to be left with egg on your face so frequently.

Who writes his lies?
https://www.google.com/amp/story/s/...s/fact-check-trump-rewrites-wisconsin-history

Someone must help him! He keeps telling the same ones after they are debunked. Do they tell him to keep repeating the same ones.

Can anyone prove that any of his listed Wisconsin lies was not a lie?

I have to admit I thought he was telling the truth about his indictments compared to Al Capone. Nope? He apparently wants more

Dam?

I will do you a favor and explain to you why this is not a moot point. The gag order is still in effect and every time Trump violates the gag order, may be used against him on July 11th during his sentencing.

:)

Dam. You know, a large concrete construction designed to hold back water or other debris/substances. Or perhaps you don't know. In which case now you do.

You say it's not moot but if it isn't then why didn't the court hear the matter? They'd have jurisdiction and could have decided to issue a stay on the gag order while they considered the appeal.

Notice they didn't do that? Why? Because the trial is over and there's no basis to support a continuation of the gag order because the trial judge only has limited jurisdiction after the verdict was reached. That jurisdiction doesn't extend to pre trial and trial orders because the trial is over.

These are things I know but which you don't because you're not an attorney. But, instead of listening to my opinion you'd rather accept the writings of a JOURNALIST. Again the question is; Why? The answer is most likely because you don't like Trump and will accept as true ANYTHING which puts him in a bad light regardless of whether it's true or legal or not. You WANT Trump to be guilty so you're good with whatever happens to him even if the law doesn't support it.

The only basis for doing that is hate. Your hate.

The gag order doesn’t put Trump in a bad light, it protects Trump from saying something before sentencing.

One would have to wonder why Trump’s attorney would appeal something that didn’t exist.

C’mon man. Let’s not get into correcting folks for an honest and simple typo ok. That’s just petty of both you and I. We don’t need to stoop this low.
Also:
Vextacious litigant.

Eventually the courts will figure this out and limit her (and possibly others) filings.

We all make mistakes.
Even lawyerly lawyer types as yourself 🙄 touting the hard law stuff to us nonlawyerlies.

It’s vexatious.
NOT vextacious.

Clearly, Trump’s attorney knows less about the law than Harpy. 🤗

More likely his RETAINED counsel understands local rules better than I do since I don't practice law in NY and don't have any clients in or give legal advice regarding NY law. I only speak here in generalities regarding the law.

One question I have is why you think that Trump's lawyers are incompetent. They filed the appeal and listed all of the legal reasons for the appeal. That the appellate court declined to hear the appeal doesn't mean those reasons are invalid, only that the court declined to listen. Which is something that appeals courts do all the time and occasionally get overturned by the SCOTUS for it.

So, at best, what you're doing is gloating prematurely because this isn't over.

Me and my clueless ass would like to know why court officials in Fulton County, ya know - the place where this indicted thug is currently out on bail from, can’t use his 11x and counting failure to comply with another jurisdiction’s orders where he has/is openly threatening the court by proxy through his made men flunkies, as cause to revoke his bail and… Hold on… Gimme a second because the words I wanna use seems to be escaping me and my mind right now… Be patient for the gears are movin particularly slow this morning. I’m telling ya, early onset dementia is a terrible thing…

Oh, I remember!

AND LOCK HIM UP!

Saying you were wrong would take way less words.

:)

Well, if we are speaking in generalities… Most liberals and people just casually observing these proceedings see things like this:

Donald Trump's Lawyers Miss Critical Deadline in Engoron Trial

And this:

Trump misses Supreme Court deadline to fight civil immunity from Jan. 6 lawsuits

Also this:

Legal experts: Trump lawyer’s “embarrassing” performance “making the jury dislike her intensely”

Maybe this as well:

"Glaringly obvious" incompetence on display as judge tells jury to "disregard everything Ms. Habba just said"

Could be this:

Judge slaps sanctions on Trump lawyers for ‘frivolous’ Clinton lawsuit

Or in general, things like this:

"Losing all credibility": Judge admonishes Trump's lawyer at gag order hearing

"Highly inappropriate": Judge admonishes Trump attorney for jail remark

You say it's not moot but if it isn't then why didn't the court hear the matter? They'd have jurisdiction and could have decided to issue a stay on the gag order while they considered the appeal.
Or maybe they decided not to hear the appeal and let the Gag Order stand....Or didn't that thinking cross your mind?
