My response was more of a shot at celebrity endorsements.unlike trump, Taylor Swift isn't in the business of allowing or preventing people from voting
she's openly encouraging all Americans to register so they can vote for the candidate of their own choice.
the fact you opted to reply as you did isn't the flex you thought it was
What? How do you get that from my single line post? Unless since I did not get in line with all the lemmings, you assume you know more than you do.^^^
Yawn...another "bothsides"er.![]()

i agree with what you say, but again point out that Taylor Swift did not do that: she encourages people to vote for who they want to vote for. At no time has she ever told or asked her fans to vote for Kamala Harris, only given the reasons why Harris is her own preferred choice. My response was more of a shot at celebrity endorsements.
People should get out to vote, yet should also take time to be informed before casting their vote. No one should vote because a celebrity they like says vote for my candidate.
Isn't that precisely what an endorsement is? Otherwise why make the endorsement?i agree with what you say, but again point out that Taylor Swift did not do that: she encourages people to vote for who they want to vote for. Endorsing someone is telling them what you think. Not telling others how to think. Taylor Swift's post specifically encouraged people to do their research for their important issues.endorsement is: an act of giving one's public approval or support to someone or something
Thank you butters, what she did is the definition of endorsement.
MAGAts, like the Taliban, regard independent women as Kryptonite.
Hell, they can't even tolerate a movie about Barbie.

Ted Nugent and Kid Rock. Lol.Why does the sex offender felon need the endorsement of Taylor Swift when he has Kid Rock, who sings songs like ‘Cool Daddy Cool’.

Or Ted Nugent with songs like ‘Jailbait’:

Both with paedophilia lyrics that would not be allowed on this site.
My biggest question is... Has ANYONE on this thread, Right Left or Center, EVER had their vote influenced in any way by an "endorsement, lack of endorsement, or a switched endorsement?"
Thanks.Um, a fuckton of people switched their vote when Jim Clyburn endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 Democratic Primary and when President Biden, Jim Cyburn, etc, etc, etc, endorsed Kamala Harris in the flash Democratic Primary after President Biden passed the torch..
Also:
People switch / determine their vote for any number of reasons - and a celebrity endorsement is definitely one of them.
Hope that ^ helps.

Thanks.
I've never let mine be influenced like that, not even when the teachers "prostituted" grade school kids, by putting them beside a busy state highway, holding up signs to vote to raise property taxes. (Something the kids didn't understand, which had already failed to pass on two previous votes)
You're a clueless MFr... There'll be shitloads of kids who'll be devastated that I can't make it to the October Liberty Festival.when did you start hating kids?

yes, she gave her full endorsementendorsement is: an act of giving one's public approval or support to someone or something
Thank you butters, what she did is the definition of endorsement.
I never stopped caring about children or liberty... Matter of fact, I'm the opposite of what you claim. When did you stop caring about children and liberty?
To quote Miss Swift:
When it comes to politics, elections, governance and society, an anarchist will never understand: how a coalition works,; how compromise works; how concessions work, and how coalescence works.

First, please, let's see if we define "anarchy" the same. When it comes to politics, elections, governance and society, an anarchist will never understand: how a coalition works,; how compromise works; how concessions work, and how coalescence works.

To quote Miss Swift:
"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election," Swift said in a post on Instagram to her more than 283 million followers. "I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."
adrina, it is quite evident she is stating what she thinks. The statement also fits the definition for an endorsement. (an act of giving one's public approval or support to someone or something) Which Miss Swift did in her X
To Miss Swift's credit, after endorsing Harris/Walz, she goes on to encourage people to do their own research and register to vote.
In the end adrina, you agree with what I wrote previously.
