I moved to Ft. Worth the same year the Stars moved to Dallas. I was dating a guy who loved hockey, so we went to several games and I just fell in love with the game. The ass is long gone, but the love of the game remains.



5-hole -- slang term for a shot between the goalie's legs
High Sticking -- penalty where the stick is above the player's shoulders or above the crossbar on the goal
2 minute -- time of minor penalties where one team has an advantage of 1 player for the time of the penalty
5 minutes -- time of major penalities

I've been at several of the Stars' 'firsts' and some ugly losses and wins... and the game where Modano went head first into the boards and everyone thought he was super, seriously injured. I've never been in a room that quiet before.
