The Wall Street Journal’s conservative editorial page has written a blistering editorial calling out President Donald Trump for sowing “chaos” in the White House — and it says that Trump has no one to blame for it but himself.

The editorial begins by noting that White House Communications Director Mike Dubke submitted his resignation this week — and then goes on to say that merely overhauling the White House’s public relations team won’t do any good as long as Trump keeps behaving so erratically.

“Mr. Trump certainly needs to fix his White House mess, but staff changes won’t matter unless the President accepts that he is the root of the dysfunction,” the editors write.

James Comey plans to confirm bombshell allegations against Trump in public testimony: report

An unnamed source is telling CNN that former FBI Director James Comey plans to confirm bombshell reports about his interactions with President Donald Trump during a public testimony that could come as soon as next week.

According to the source, Comey has already spoken with Robert Mueller, who was tapped to act as the special counsel in the Russian probe, about the overall parameters of what he plans to say. No firm date has yet been set for Comey’s testimony, however.

Did he flip? Carter Page ‘more than cooperating’ with House Intelligence investigation

A prominent foreign policy advisor to the 2016 Donald Trump campaign is cooperating with congressional investigators looking into potential Trump campaign collusion with the White House.

ABC News reports that Carter Page is “more than cooperating” with the House Permanent Committee on Intelligence.

“In the interest of finally providing the American people with some accurate information at long last, I hope that we can proceed with this straight dialogue soon,” ABC News says Page wrote in a letter to the Intelligence Committee.

ABC News also reported that Page will not be testifying this week.

“While we anticipate interviews to begin shortly, we have agreed that the pace of those interviews will be dictated by the needs of the investigation and not the preferences of outside parties,” ranking committee member Adam Schiff (D-California) said in a statement.

I hope someone is sharpening the stakes so we can finish this quickly.

President Donald Trump will announce on Thursday that the United States will withdraw from the landmark Paris climate agreement, following through on a pledge he made during the presidential campaign, according to a White House document seen by Reuters.

Trump will say the Paris agreement “front loads costs on American people,” the document said. He will say the decision fulfills his promise to “put American workers first,” it said. He will also say he hopes to seek “a better deal,” the document said.

Trump was scheduled to make the official announcement at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT) in the White House Rose Garden.

His vow to negotiate a new deal is unrealistic. The rest of the world has no incentive to regather to neogtiate a new deal to replace the one that was so hard to create in the first place. Other nationas have already said they have no interest in reopening the agreement. Indeed, Trump's acknowledgement that it may not happen seems like a tacit admission that it won't.

REVEALED: Trump completely misunderstood MIT climate research

Massachusetts Institute of Technology officials said U.S. President Donald Trump badly misunderstood their research when he cited it on Thursday to justify withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement.

Trump announced during a speech at the White House Rose Garden that he had decided to pull out of the landmark climate deal, in part because it would not reduce global temperatures fast enough to have a significant impact.

“Even if the Paris Agreement were implemented in full, with total compliance from all nations, it is estimated it would only produce a two-tenths of one degree Celsius reduction in global temperature by the year 2100,” Trump said.

“Tiny, tiny amount.”

That claim was attributed to research conducted by MIT, according to White House documents seen by Reuters. The Cambridge, Massaschusetts-based research university published a study in April 2016 titled “How much of a difference will the Paris Agreement make?” showing that if countries abided by their pledges in the deal, global warming would slow by between 0.6 degree and 1.1 degrees Celsius by 2100.

“We certainly do not support the withdrawal of the U.S. from the Paris agreement,” said Erwan Monier, a lead researcher at the MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change, and one of the study’s authors.

“If we don’t do anything, we might shoot over 5 degrees or more and that would be catastrophic,” said John Reilly, the co-director of the program, adding that MIT’s scientists had had no contact with the White House and were not offered a chance to explain their work.
