My first seed grow. A prior harvest yeilded me several viable seeds, so I'm happy to start a new generation to clone from. One thing to remember about cloning, although the clone is new growth, it's genetics are as old as the mother it came from. As a rule, use a mother for a year to clone from and then flower it. Have a new seedling established into motherhood when you do, so no time is lost in rotation of your crop.

That is a shame. It's not the wild experience everyone thinks it is. For the most part, it's the nicest mellow feeling you'll ever encounter. Ask any Lady who's puffed and then made love what the experience is like.

Lance-Those buds look so amazing. I wish I had a place to grow or I probably would.

I'm going to put in a closet grow-op build for people with small and limited spaces to grow. A very sweet crop can be had from a well-planned closet or areas less than 30 sq.ft. And all very discreetly. A good turn-key system with clones, will run $2000-2500 to start up.

the first time, more than likely you won't feel anything. i didn't get high until i smoked my third joint. then, it only takes a joint or a good bong hit.

Here's what you'll need to produce an abundant and regular supply of herb in your house. If you live in an apartment, I'll post plans for a closet op.
Find a suitable area in the basement, away from all services (water, hydro furnace) that is 12' X 4'. Frame the sides with 2" X 3" lumber and divide the area into two. One side for vegging 4' X 4', the other
8' X 4' for flowering. Install 2" X 3" horizontal rails approx. 24" from the floor. Cut lengths of 2" X 6" just slightly smaller than 4' to sit on top of the rails. These are removable. Attach ceiling hooks into solid wood in the middle of this area. If needed, attach a piece to the rafters and use it. Don't rely on plugs in drywall for support.
Build 3 rectangular frames 24"H by 48" long. Position these in the flowering area, one at each end and one in the middle. Attach to floor and wall with screws. Using 4'X 8' X 5/8" plywood, lay this on top of frames. Attach with screws. At points 2' from each wall, attach hooks in the ceiling, again, into solid wood.
Your framing is complete for the basic op, whether growing Hydroponically, or in soil depends on further installation and drilling of holes.
Electrical needs are two receptacles on seperate circuits. A safe way to bring power from another plug is to use insulated extention cord. Attach a receptacle box to your frame in a spot easy to access, on the front side of your wall frame, about 5' from the floor. Cut the female end of the cord off and bare the wires, so 1/2" of copper is showing. insert it into the box and secure with clamp. Leave 7-8" sticking out for ease of installing outlet receptacle. Making a curl over a screw driver on each copper end, attach the black wire to the copper coloured screw, and the white to the silver coloured screw. Attach the green ground to the ground screw and attach to receptacle box and cover. Plug into other outlet and it's ready and safe.
Wrap entire area above the table and shelves in Mylar, whiteboard, or any flat board painted a flat, not glossy white. Do not use mirrors, they absorb light. Tinfoil is cheap and flimsy and doesn't make any significant difference to warrant the hassle.
Purchase a Hydroponic grow tray and drill holes for hydro use, or seal any for soil use. Lay it on the plywood. This is to catch the run-off water from feeding and misting.
Purchase a drum fan and carbon filter combo (around $200). attach fan and filter securely as per instructions provided. Run ducting to an exterior window and make plywood frame to fit inside the window frame. Cut hole for ducting to go out and another for air coming in.
Several techniques for disguising this are available and I hope others share their methods.
A Metal Halide system is used for vegging and a 400 watt system is very adequate for the area used. Using a household timer set for an 18 hour on per day cycle. Plug them together and into the plug. A small room fan is perfect for air circulation and keeping things cool for the plants. A small vent hole, 2" at the top for heat to escape and another at the bottom for air to come in. Make sure the fan is on low and rippling the leaf tops, not directly on them.
Purchase two HPS ( high pressure sodium) systems, again in 400w.
Hang all lights from chains on the hooks. Attach ballasts to wall near ceiling. Install into timers set on 12 hour cycles and plug into outlet.
Using a roll of material that is flexible white or lightly coloured, but not light penetrable, cut to fit openings. Only cut to bottom of table on flowering side. Install two double flourescent fixtures to underside of table and join in series. Run wire with plug and install into outlet. This remains on 24/7, for clones and seedlings.
I'll explain next time on rotation growing.

Kush is extraordinary. It's an ornamental strain that produces very potent bud, somewhere in the low 20% THC count. Very smooth and long lasting. Keeps you focused and mellow with a great tingle down the spine on the first hit.

White Noise is a great strain of Indica that's picked late in harvest. It's a body-numbing and sedative strain that's perfect for wanting to do nothing but veg and feel nothing. Great for headaches and sleeplessness.

Hi everyone, hope your weekend is going great. Wanted to share my mornings work with you. This is one of my colas that was just trimmed of leaves and ready to hang and dry. The aroma is incredible and I love the little bits of scissor hash after clipping. This is White Noise main cola from a 2' plant. Those scissors are 7" beside it. The secondary buds were all around 4" and there were six of those, plus the lower bud clusters. About 2 1/2 oz yeild per plant.

As the words still ring in my head, as I walked down the beach at Negril, " Ya Mon, come check me out. Got the best stuff on all the island." I smile.

This is my little experimental grow. I started with 4 12" plants of all 4 strains. I snipped off all the large fan leaves and any side branching. They are now into their 3rd week of flowering and it looks promising that I'll see about a 1oz. yeild per plant. So far, I've cut back on 5 weeks of veg. growth to speed things up.

The max. height you'll want to get to in the final stages. Any higher and you could out-grow your grow space.
