Long day!

Got up a bit early to vote. Then off to work. Had to put out a major fire at work. (Figuratively) the new system I’m working on will be delayed.

So we had to revert to some of our contingency plan communications and figure a buncha shit out and inform key stakeholders.

Had a “date” with the tax collector tonite abt our farm assessment revocation. Some tempers flared. He fell on his sword. The deadline to file was 1 August. We filed our paperwork on 29 April along with our May quarterly tax for the farm. He even helped us make a correction!

I have zero faith that he will get this right next year. Piles of shit everywhere, filing shit by putting it in different boxes… I get it, he works two days and one night a week, but damn….

Good news is that we won’t have to file a tax appeal and plead our case at the county level now.

It's good you got the tax stuff figured out! I was audited once. I NEVER want to go through that again! 😳😳

After a 15 hour shift yesterday with fabulous people from all parties, I fell asleep at 930 pm after giving my dog some love. I am awake but no grandpa taxi duties because of yesterday fatigue. I am healthy and thank God for that.

I will probably be off most of the day trying to recover from the fatigue.

The people at the front sent me to bones. The people at the front of bones called the bidness manager who got me a nappointment (the way Junior said it when he was 3) with a podiatrist. She's new and tookening patients. Maybe patience, too. I think we're good. It feels that way.

I'm the APA queen! In my MBA program, we did a lot of group papers. I was always the editor.

In one class, there was a group project, presentation, and paper. The prof said the paper could be submitted with each group member's part just stapled together. I asked if our group could submit an integrated paper. He said we couuuld, but he had never seen it done, and would be amazed if it was done well. I told him to prepare to be amazed! We got an A in the course!

It is not wrong. I wrote out my solution, signed it, and gave it to the kid to show to the instructor. I'm waiting to see what evolves out of that...
