Wat went to Lon Giland (spelling intentional - think about it - there's moowah) to look at the last anvil he bought and got to that town a few minutes before 7 with an 0830 appointment. So Google was asked to find a diner and came up with a pretty good one. Breafeseses was had. The view out the door from a booth in the back resembled this picture. That was a good time, is a good memory, and turned out being a really good anvil.

We found this point in middleanowhewre PA. It was a solid lunch! Mrs wonderer had a vanilla shake.

Up. Coffee. Meditations posted. Phone is telling me that my headphones are too loud and that I'm going deaf. Of course, there are no headphones. Syd Barrett is on the music box. Liking this new music box. It's gittin' 'er dun.


Observation: a four-half-gallon booze box is about perfect for packing books. One can fill it to the gills and it isn't too heavy and doesn't break backs or cause ruptures.


Wat has a bunch of books, even with some getting tossed.

Syd…. He was the best. An acid casualty. Back then Pink Floyd was very different.

I need to go through and see about some book donations…books tend to be on the level of guns and guitars for gettting rid of…although they don’t hold their value…just sentimental.

Speaking of books…almost finished with The Last Lion. A trilogy I’ve been working on for over five years…maybe six or seven. I know I put it down for a year…I think book two…it has been thrilling (Book 1), boring (Book 2), and back to interesting for Book 3. Anyhow…ready to wrap this one up. I usually sort of devour books but as this one is only for bedtime reading…it’s taken a while. Still have about 20 pages then it hits the shelf. More English history waiting in the wings…The Plantagenets.

Today going to spend time w the boys. Should be working in the yard, but shopping for new iron is on the docket. I call it an investment. Others under this roof, SheWhoMustNotBeNamed don’t see it that way.

This is a tough one…

I only knew the Floyd in the Gilmore era…wasn’t until college that I even really knew about Syd and started…delving.

It’s just different era’s…I appreciate the early PF, but my heart is with 70’s version…Saw them in ‘88 at Carter-Finley in Raleigh. Then again when at Ft. Bliss, in El Paso in ‘94. We lived five blocks away from the Sun Bowl and walked to the concert! Had half the Squadron over at our apartment to get properly lubricated before we headed over.

Got some shiznit tooken care of at the doctor's. Bro Yo and the Godson came by to carry out a few boxes and a couple pieces of furniture. Wat scored a piece of furniture, too. Wat is down to two pieces. One belongs to JUnior and will get salvaged. The other is that fawkiny000je POS that he has contacted the thrift store about coming to get. No word. They don't come this week and it goes into the dumpster in pieces next weekend. Wat sez he's fawkin' over it.
