Spent the evening helping the oldest solve a college math problem. No a real life problem. Kid, myself, and the wife independently got the same answer. The online worksheets says it was wrong!

It is not wrong. I wrote out my solution, signed it, and gave it to the kid to show to the instructor. I'm waiting to see what evolves out of that...

Good morning to early risers and day to our friends in Europe. Grandpa’s taxi is back this morning and so is Grandpa. Today is a gift and I plan to enjoy it.

I spent yesterday recovering physically from the long day as election inspector. I also found I was needed by my son and sister to comfort and console them about their feelings concerning the election. My friends needed me as comforter as well.

I went to dinner with others so I could recharge. After a good night sleep I am back to engaging each day as a gift. I wish you all the same!

Snow, already! Snow here turns into a major catastrophe! We don't really know how to drive in it!

I would always go practice driving during the first snow. The reations required are a bit different. One thing I would do was slam on the brakes at aoubt 45 or so. There was the time the truck swerved for some reason and I almost rolled it. I can still feel that adrenalin rush.

I've had several experiences with weaving up hills and one time my daughter freaked out. I would go to a shopping center parking lot.

You must have an Iron Constitution to bounce around from shift to shift and place to place. I burned out that cylinder decades ago.

Thanks and I did for years but it’s starting to take its toll. I need tons of rest now just to get through and then a recovery day when I get back. I say I’m going to retire in seven years but I’d love to do it sooner. I keep threatening to retire and go herd goats in the alps or some other low stress job!

Went to a German restaurant called Schmidt's and had a most delicious Bahama Mama sausage and some green beans. It was supposed to be green beans and s p e t z l e, but they're literally was two of them. Not too bad but definitely went over calories.

I been there! They are listed on the Food Networks top 100 restaurants in the US! Been there since 1885 or something. It’s a must stop for us when we visit Corporate HQ.
