The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Oh jeez. That’s bad Lil.

Hope he gets his shit together for you and finishes the job.
He and two guys showed up today. Wedi board went in the shower but they ran out. It's not to the ceiling yet. Tile was delivered. Old plywood on tub deck was removed and new installed in preparation for the stone that will be installed there.

Tomorrow my designer and I are taking a field trip to see the stone man. It will take us about an hour, depending on traffic to get there. Tiling will take place while I'm gone.

Morning all
I'm still a bit behind, but I'll get there.

Not an outbreak complaint, but I will say my bed is made for sleeping not for nesting. So this is an interesting configuration. 🤣
Pillows, Likes! Lots and LOTS of pillows! My husband used to complain that between me, my 1001 pillows, and the dog, he didn't have enough room in the bed. I thought there was plenty of room! 🤣🤣🤣

Yesterday was filled with many emotions. My gift was my granddaughter clinging to me as I carried her into daycare, brunch with my GF and dinner with my son. The sadness came as I learned my brother in law of 57 years (like a brother) is fading from kidney failure. I am hoping he makes it to his dialysis on Wednesday. My sister needs to vent to me. Friends continue to vent to me about their problems.

It gets lonely as I am dealing with my own health issues (possible prostate cancer). I really miss my wife in these times.

I am thankful for all of you!
Life is, at times, a very difficult journey and one where support from others, whether physical or moral, is essential. I am sorry that your wife is no longer able to help you, I know I would be utterly lost without mine. This is, perhaps where online communities such as this can really come into their own. There is always someone here to listen and offer some genuine words of comfort. Feel free to unburden yourself rather than internalise your feelings. Good luck to your brother in law and to you with your own health issues.

I took some extra time. Knew the first few days would be the toughest. So far the Tylenol-Ibuprofen tag team is doing the job.

Supposed to ice 20min each hour. Keep feet elevated over heart 23 hrs a day. Plus limit walking for the first few days. Twice a day foot soaks and rebandaging start tomorrow. Plus lower leg exercises 4-5x a day. Who knew there was so much just to get rid of pesky ingrown toenails?

Glad I opted to get both sides of both big toes done at the same time. Clean sweep.

Can't imagine doing this 4x (although for just one corner of the toe they do it in the office w/ a local). After care is much the same though.
I'm going to remember to tip my nail tech extravagantly next time! Ain't no way I want to go throught that! 🫂🫂🫂
