I hate business travel. The older I get the less I enjoy cramming myself in an aluminum tube at 35,000 feet with two hundred of my new best friends. Sleeping in strange beds sucks, and I can get a steak dinner back home for less than the cheeseburger I had last night. Two more days and I’ll be back home.

I hear this. I want to travel but hate travel. (OK, the cost of travel sucks, the trips don't always). Traveled last month. A week in the hotel at $500 a night... $50 seemed like the minimum for every meal. Might be why I'm back to beans and rice at home again! LOL

I know a guy who does glasswork. I have one of his pieces. When he returns from the wars, I'd like to see what else he has. If you have things in your head that you want to make, by all means, take the class. This class will come in very handy when hot rod building becomes a thing in my life.


Went for a half-walk. That and the walking I'll do this afternoon will reach the new reduced goal.

I see a lot of stuff I want to try... I would love to learn how to wood carve spoons and use a lathe to turn wood candleholders..... make marbled paper like they used way back when..... I see someone do it and i am like hmmmmm....

Stick. TIG is next semester.

TIG is different. A little like gas welding, but with foot pedal control (assuming that's the setup).
It's very versatile. Really nice if you're messing with old cars and hot rods...
If you've spent any time behind a soldering iron, it 'feels' natural...
