Car from NJ to JFK airport in NY, Flight which you know. 2 hour car service from airport to hotel, 7 nights in hotel and meals as well as entrance fees to the conference. 2 hour Car service back to airport, Car service from JFK airport from NY to NJ. As well as my pay for the week. I'm estimating roughly $30,000.00 per person and just his entourage is 8 people. So roughly $240,000.00 for a 1 week conference. There's a lesson in World Economics right there![]()
Yah. But this is a international event.Makes some places arguing over paying the hotel $25 per day 'activity' fee seem trivial...
Not only you. We are just as blessed that you and pup-pup are safe and sound and in our loving embrace once again...I thought I would get on here a bit earlier just to let you all know we came through the bomb cyclone OK. I walked around the house. Except for a couple of shells from a windchime on the ground, my house did not sustain any damage. It looks like we lost power for like a minute, but I'm not sure; I was napping. When I woke up, the power was on but appliances were blinking.
There's no great damage I saw on my street when I went for a walk other than tree limbs down. The guys said there is a fair amount of damage on the next street over. Trees down, some through roofs. One house lost their entire fence.
It's sun shining today and in the 50s. I didn't even need a coat to walk.
I feel very blessed today!![]()

Oooh, are they reading the slides to you, too? This seminar sucks. I want to scoop my eyes out with a spork so I don’t have to look at any more power point slides.![]()

At least you're on top of it.Well what a few days….temperature dropped to around 26 and boiler packed in. Valve burst and sprayed water over the control unit…both screwed so no hot water or heating with freezing temperatures. Fortunately we have an electric shower and stove in the lounge that takes wood or coal. Waiting on parts for god knows how long grrr!
