The blood panel came back mostly good. Cholesterol a few points over what they like to see but the concern was my glucose was high…diet exercise…blah blah blah…🙄. I get the CT scan mañana so that will be the big reveal. When I checked in they were like, it’s going to be a month…then he said, “oh, just had a cancelation!” I can’t believe I’ve been able to knock this stuff out before Christmas. Oh, and my PA was cute as a bug! 😍😁😍

Your timing is good, young soldier. Glad you were able to get in there for your CT scan. Amazing luck on both appointments. Hoping for the best.

Yeah, it never hurts to have a cute medical tech or nurse or doctor work on you…

When I moved down here to Virginia I was shocked at the difference in day light in winter. Our days are close to 30 minutes longer than NJ.
I’m a weird one and like it to get dark early in the cooler months. The hour change is simple to trick for me. I just go to bed the night before the change so I wake up on new time the same time I would any other day. If I wake up early or late going to sleep an hour earlier usually does the trick.
So far sleep is good for me. I attribute it to when I was young. My parents made us go to sleep early. Like 730 early still light in summer time. We were never ever sent to our rooms for punishment. You bedroom was only a place for good things and sleep. Now being off two years I sleep when body says sleep which is usually between 9 and 10. Wake up anywhere from 630 to 11. When I go back to work I am going to miss getting up when my body clicks on.
I will also say since last year when i quit drinking coffee, I feel like I sleep even better. I have less headaches too.

Usually a simple trick for me too. Most years, I just tell myself it’s an hour earlier an hour later and don’t worry about it.

But this year, my internal clock kept on waking me up at three and 4 AM. Can’t do much about that. I’m typically a 5 AM riser, so when it was 5 AM, but it’s really 4 AM and my body is saying it’s time to get up… not much I can consciously do about it.

I’m not a risk to myself or to others, I’m just mentally and physically worn out.

You’ve had a hell of a week, I hope you can get some downtime at Christmas to unwind and decompress.
