The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I sprang/sprung for some really good pans for chrymas - carbon steel. They need to be seasoned so I did that yesterday.

I seasoned them with high-quality high smoke point oil. But stiff still sticks to them. I’m not giving up on them, but I’m pretty disappointed initially.

I’ll keep on reseasoning them and see how they go.

You can’t wash them, DEF no dishwasher. We’ll see.
try BUZZYWAX - blend of grapeseed and beeswax - for seasoning. Scour with rocksalt, apply liberally and put it on the gas grill for 20 mins.

I ended up springing for the wax and oil combination from the manufacturer. It should be here in a few days.

In the meantime, I will be using grapeseed oil and scouring with kosher salt.

Having found a better refrain for this miserable song, perhaps the rest of the lyrics could be rewritten to make the whole thing more gooder. Gooderer.
