The sink was still leaking, but a few more turns of the pvc nut (heh heh) I think got it.

Gonna muck around on the farm too and do some trail cleanup if no one is hunting.

We had wind yesterday, but I imagine that yours is . . . wait for it . . . windier. I know it is Out West.


I would up with the top section of the neighbor's dead tree in my back yard over night before last. I dragged it back to them yesterday. The big pieces. There is a metric shit-tonne of little pieces. That tree may actually barely be in the alley right-of-way, so it may be on the city.

Morning everyone. Hope y’all had a safe New Year. Getting colder here as well, winds picking up and possible snow Sunday leading into Monday. Road trip today, delivering the last of Christmas to our daughter. She had to work when we went to my MIL’s so 5 hours in the road today for a 3 hour visit. But it’s worth it, I don’t get to see her as often as I like. Everyone be safe today and I’ll pop in when I get a chance.

So, since the docs have twisted my arm to change my ways, I actually hit the treadmill for an hour yesterday. I don’t really like those things, but what are you gonna do in a hotel? If it’s not sketch, I’ll go for a walk but we were in a place yesterday that’s basically on a highway….anyhow, I managed to lose 15 around this time last year, but managed to put it all back on and then some. Tried to eat better, but that’s a work in progress. Not quite Cheetos fingers but close…processed food has to go…

So the cold brew coffee???

A TOTAL WINNER! I’m very surprised. Just made a French press full w cold water, let it steep overnight and this morning just outed a cup and put it in the microwave.

Hardly any bitterness.

This is good, because it makes two decent size cups of coffee, which is perfect for me every day.

I will miss the smell of the percolator, we will definitely keep it around!

Metric shit ton? Or metric shit tonne??

We manage a property in a town near us that has an alley. It’s a vexing legal conundrum divided by a metric fuck ton of ambiguity.

Who plows it when it snows? What happens when trees come down? Who maintains it when it gets rutted.

Inquiring minds wanna know.

(The answer is that we do it all… but no one really knows who’s responsible. The town is like mission impossible: they disavow all knowledge of anything. They are of no help.)
