My mom’s memorial is today, and in memorial I made her famous swirl refrigerator cookies. I loved them as a kid.

Naaah, You'll get it. With the pull saws, you can adjust the cut as you're going. Just watch you line.

If you have some c clamps and a board, you could clamp a guide board down to help you get started.

Well I got them cut qnd it isnt enough so time for round 2..... I measured x27589965..

Doesn't help that nothing in my house is straight or level.....

Well it is lined up with wall and I had to.shim a corner because shit is not square and even though I measured 284645739 times I messed it up.....

I think it looks ok... I will get some wood putty and try to hide the stacked shim....

Got the grocery shopping done before the rain hit this morning. Everyone is napping and it's quiet in the house. The sky is overcast and I'm laying in the recliner reading another story...in peace. Coffee sounds good right now. Snickers coffee and muscle milk for creamer.

They are called refrigerator cookies because you need to refrigerate the dough as you form it. It’s pretty much the same dough, except you add some bakers chocolate to 1/2 and keep it separate.

They are essentially sugar or butter cookies. Poor Mrs. wonder knows that when I make them, there’s usually a lot of cussing and swearing.

Then you roll them into sheets, put the plain one on top of the chocolate, one or vice versa, and roll them up and freeze them. Once frozen, you cut them into little rounds.

I’ve been talking about it for a couple of months, but I think we’re going to get the recipe thread going. I’m gonna talk to L2, and see the best way to get this done. I think what we’ll do is do something similar to photogirls thread.

I am watching Jamie Oliver. I like his style of cooking no weird ingredients not fussy looks tasty

He took four chicken thighs and brown them skin side down in a pan he added a handful or two of mixed mushrooms and then over the top he poured a can of white beans, then he took that same can and filled it with rice and then the same can and filled it with water and then a can of cream of mushroom soup start it all together and threw it in the oven. Oh and he added some spinach too. Covered it with foil and baked it. Then he took English mustard and lemon juice and made like a little drizzle for the top for when it's done it looks delicious.

It was a nice family get together, and we had a Zoom call with my relatives from Kansas, Arizona and California.

It was fun, silly at times, and overall a nice time. Unfortunately, my daughter could not make it due to a prior coaching commitment. (the original date was last week, but snowed out…. She was upset…)

Had a nice evening with the granddaughter last night. She was in high spirits and her uncle and I chased her giggling through the house. Did some bed jumping and pillow fighting. I think I’m an 8yr old trapped in a 58 yr olds body?
