I guess I should have made the above a reply but I was asked about our animals and the food.

Good morning all..... My biggest complaint this morning is that I forgot to set the coffee maker last night and now I'm just waiting.

When you forget in the future and if you have a drip, you can slide the pot out and your cup under in one move and then, after the cup is almost full, reverse. I have a tendency to forget.

That is the upside. Ash is dense, and burns hot and long. Truly some of the best firewood you can use. Only oak (not all varieties, but most) and black locust burn hotter i think.

It looks like ash trees are going the way of the American chestnut.

There is some kind of injection you can give them but it’s a crap shoot.

It’s a major safety issue here in the northeast and the upper Midwest. In big wind, storms, a lot of the dead ash trees blow over onto powerlines.

I can relate to falling branches. Was canoeing on the Deleware years ago. Was sitting with my back against a tree taking a break. This big ass limb fell down a few feet from me.
