Wat already made a rather firm "suggestion," more like "command!" The thing is, I have one with two steps but it's upstairs. I also have one that's a fold up, one step. It is in the garage. The chair was by the door.

At least have someone spot you. Even when I use a ladder I like to have someone around to steady against tilting etc.
