Maybe it's mixed in a way to shield from toxicity? I'll have to ask my dentist.
It's made with mercury, and you chew food on it!

But I believe the secret is how much mercury wants to bond with the silver. Did some tox screening a while back. Despite having a few fillings mercury wasn't detected.

Honestly, I think the body can clear some mercury. Which is good, because some of the freshwater lakes around here are in rock that contains a fair bit of mercury. Fish from those lakes are high in it.

Reminds me of learning to drive and stalling…

My dad: (look of disgust) more gas, less clutch. 😂 (This was his stock reply whenever I stalked, which was often in the beginning)
My parents ALWAYS had standard shift vehicles. We all learned to drive a stick. My mother was mortally offended when she had to purchase an automatic Prius! 😅😅

Good Morning or whatever time applies...
Last night was hell for Lady K! You see she has thyroid issues, COPD, severe scoliosis, with a kyphosis. I
She was in excruciating pain all day and her meds weren't as effective probably because of the weather.
She has a lot of such days, but some are more painful than others
I feel helpless because there is nothing I can do to alleviate her pain. It's the worst torture imaginable. She turned down a medication that contains fentayl because she doesn't want to get addicted..
I know I can speak freely here, but I'm sorry to say all this. Thanks for being here for me. 💜 🫂 :rose:
I'm sorry for you both, RJ! 🫂🫂🫂

People in the US talk about how serious folks take their Bingo. Then I pipe up and say, "Serious Bingo? The US has nothing on Scotland!!" ... and I only played a couple times while I was there. Enough to learn you zip your lip when the game resumes!! That includes whispers... save it for the next break or you may get a special break all your own.
Oh it’s a religion worldwide!…. It’s just not my religion! Lol

So, all you nurses out here. What or how do you treat what I'm guessing is Achilles tendonitis. Calf is sore, but below the head of the muscle. Seems to be tendon or maybe soleus. Annoying as hell, and hurts to walk. Going on a week now. Some days worse than others.

Trying gentile stretching, light walking right now.
Have you seen a podiatrist? If not, please consider. You may need some orthotics or other supportive footwear. You can use ibuprofen or aleve for pain; do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Try resting also. AT is frequently caused by overuse.

Im sorry to read this. I’m on a lot of meds and the only pain meds I can take are hydromorphone and fentanyl. Toradol, a strong nsaid, anlso can help. After surgery I had tons of hydromorphone, like 2 pills every 4 hrs for weeks. As the pain lessened, I gradually tapered down and stopped without trying to.
I only have had fentanyl in medical settings. It’s also the only time I’m not in any pain, so I totally get its appeal psychologically but I can’t stand on fentanyl.bits also physically addictive esp if you’ve had previous addictions to alcohol, cigarettes or other meds.
I totally get her worry. Is there a medical facility where she can go and get fentanyl rather than take at home.
If you’ve got fentanyl at home, it would be good to have narcan handy just in case.
For myself, the pain seems to eat the meds and I can get by with less if I take then when the pain starts to rise.
Fentanyl was designed for unrelenting intractable pain, and in the case of a dying friend, we didn’t care if she became addicted, and she didn’t, but if she had she was in no position to do much with it.

At this point, I take Celebrex and low dose naltrexone ( ldn) LDN blocks the opiate receptors several hours a day and had pretty much gotten rid of my bone pain. On ldn I can’t take opiates as they won’t work so if I need them, I have to go off ldn.
You might investigate ldn. I can send links to studies if that helps.
I hope she feels better soon,

Good morning or evening according to your time zone. I am just sitting having breakfast with my mum. Then it’s an eight hour drive to N Devon to see my grandchildren for a few days. I will pop by the Bar when I can but they are my priority when I get there.

Take care everyone!

Heh, I wasn't clear. I'm back home for the weekend. I head back tomorrow. What should have been 2.5 weeks out of town may stretch to 4 depending on factors outside my control. That said, it's sunny outside and in the 50s, my cat is deliriously happy to have me home, and I have absolutely nothing beside laundry left to do today. I plan to enjoy that.
Then enjoy your time home, your cat, and your bed! You will be able to return to your class refreshed and ready to stuff more learning in your head! 🥰
