LOL! I had to do a double take. My mother has an inherited cookbook from I’m guessing the 30’s? It actually has a recipe for Turtle Soup. Not the pond kind…nope, the big Loggerhead type. Illegal now obviously as they’re protected, but man…they harvested everything back then.

Had a posh lunch in Waterford, Ireland 30+ years ago... included 2 soups among the other salads, entrees, and sides. I tried both because they were there and why not. Oxtail was one and turtle was the other.
Oxtail tasted like a beef broth - as you would expect.
I don't recall what the turtle soup tasted like, but do recall not really wanting seconds.

I caught the early show, thanks... my emergency weather radio and 800 lumen flashlight just arrived today. All set for the next power outage. Heard it may have been downed trees from straight-line winds and not just a brownout.

So all of a sudden my electric went out and I heard all this banging.... apparently they were changing my meter...surprise!!.... too bad was in the middle of a meeting...when i was talking
