They have many benificial effects. Eating an apple a day has been show to reduce colesterol about 30% is one.
I make what we call in our house mush or porridge for breakfast most mornings.

Blueberries*, chopped up apple, banana (and whatever other fruit is fresh), mixed with oatmeal and a little peanut butter. It’s a total carb charge and sweet as hell w all the fruit. I eat it between 10-12 and it will keep me till dinner.

I don’t do breakfast and do intermittent fasting. It works for me.

*blueberries are frozen from last year. We usually run out around March or April and use frozen bb from Costco for a few months.

I am a bit, no, a lot jealous. In Pa. we had severa blueberry bushes. I eat an apple in the morning after haveing overnight oatmeal with blueberries and a little honey. Most of the veggies I get now we buy in the store.

We have 14 blueberry bushes. Fresh ones June thru early August are the best!!

We grow veggies too, but other than potatoes and occasionally beets, they don’t last very long. We give a good amount away at work and to neighbors.

They do grow veggies down here but I have no skill or luck here. The only thing I have grow sucessfully are pineapples, key limes and myer lemons. I am in Zone 10A and it is planting season!
