The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Yeah, It's a really common problem here.

I need to look up the light spectrum of those. Should see what intensity and light levels I'm missing. I put new high bay lights in one building, and I like working in there now. It's actually brighter than what ANSI recommends for a work space. But I don't care, I like it!

But now the heated shop looks too dark! I just ordered brighter fixtures with a cooler color spectrum for that shop. Maybe that will help. Should boost the light from 250 lm/square meter to over 500. The high bay area is around 1200...
I am south of you but the winter months really get to me. I could change my lights if I knew what to change them to. What spectrum should I be looking for in the lights?

I know that the new LED bulbs have a "daylight" type of light. Those are the ones I buyt mostly because I like them best. We're I you, I'd start there.

Up. Coffee. Payday early, so that's done in full. Been catching up on Dr. Tyler's financial obligations as well and trying to plan for what's next. It's just one damned thing after another. If anyone could do this, what in Hell would Wat do???? Hmmmm????

🤣 :nana:
Keep your sense of humor as it helps with the grief. Hang in there my friend.

I like the daylight bulbs too. 5000K are most prevalent. The difference between bulbs is not easily related to the price.
The light that comes from the bulb is emitted from several or sometimes many diodes. The smaller more concentrated diodes are likely more costly. Placement of the diodes inside the bulb matters too. With the multitudes of light source in a single bulb, many cast as many shadows as rays of light. There are some bulbs I have purchased I cannot read by. In low light situations or close to the source use, GE reveal cast the least shadows. Shadows almost unseen.
I had cataract surgery, so to eliminate reflection I have also gone out of my way to shield my eyes from the source. Looking onto a lighted surface without the light source shining back at you goes a long way. The lamp shades are solid where possible. Like over my desk, the shade bottom is just below eye level. The light is focused a bit so the lighted surface is limited making a 25watt equivalent plenty. What is lit is less than two feet from the bulb. Yet the light remains white not yellow. It does not change the color of what you are looking at. And doesn't reflect off my monitors.
