The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Another day of finishing the thread! Do I get a participation trophy? 😂😂

Today was a busy day for me. I was woken up early by my boat guy who KNOWS I go to sleep late-ish. Grrrrr. Once I'm awake, that's pretty much it. I'm up.

My helper came today. I had a list for him I thought he could probably do most of unsupervised. Not so. 😤😤 I ended up helping him on EVERYTHING! Even disconnecting and coiling up the hoses. But, I did get him to accomplish most of what was on my list.

My boat guy also was here. He's not thrilled with the new boat cover I got and was grumbling and grouching about everything. I call him Oscar! 🤭🤭 He did commandeer my helper for a bit. But the boat is covered.

We only got about half the lights on outside that I wanted to do. I guess I'll be working on them this week.

My dishwasher died last week so it's replacement is coming tomorrow. Thankfully, I have a 12 - 4 window!

After everyone left, I finished working on the tree that hangs on the wall. I've had it for decades; it periodically needs a tune-up. This year was nearly a complete overhaul. But it's done and I'm thrilled!

Damnit my eyes have been sullied by something from that Day that I wont even say in bloody November! Otherwise the rest of the post was typical Lili and passable.

I love the taste of cilantro. I didn't get the soap gene.
I agree. Cilantro goes with a lot of stuff. And along with lime and tomato can enhance the flavor of various peppers, not necessarily the heat from the peppers.
Cilantro is an essential part of the kitchen chemistry set. It can make or break dishes we call Mexican, Spanish and most important Indian.
But I like things that go POW!

I like your tree on the wall. Cool and unique. The memories that make it up are probably something special too.

Some of that shit goes with the trash, which is where I put it for when I tooken it out to the alley.

Work front: good news: the good crew is slaying this shit. They make better coinage doing it faster, and their shit is dah good shit. They'll be done tomorrow not long after lunch.

Mom front: poor news: her facility is putting her out come Friday. I count it to Saturday, but I'll lose and we'll never get transport on Saturday anyway. So we have to scramble and find a bed somewhere. I think that Baby Bro Yo has one lined up, as long as the place doesn't smell like week old yurn. Speeling apurpose. So Wat will ditch work at 1030 and bolt back to the big city and start sorting shit out.

That's one big game of Good News - Bad News, @Wat_Tyler !!
Win Column on the Crew Do!! 🎉
I am so sorry about mom and the facility ☹️
Hope Baby Bro comes through!
That transport issue is rough - hope that gets sorted as well.
Hugs all around!!!

Not sure where he came up with this place, but we have a nappointment (a Junior lexicon word from when he was very small) tomorrow afternoon. So, I'ma be there.

It really is a genetic thing. I know so many folks that have no issues with cilantro. My long time friend of 40 years has a genetic condition which makes him very sensitive to tastes and odors. His wife says it’s been a challenge cooking 😂. They have been together for 50+years.
She must be a fantastic cook! And definitely up to the challenge!

My husband didn't get the soap gene either; we both enjoyed cilantro in our guacamole. 🥑
