A cord of wood is a unit of measurement for selling firewood. It is volume not weight or size per se

It is 8ft long, 4 ft high and 4 ft deep. (When I deliver it, it is 2 heaping pick up truck beds full)

Bucking is taking a log and cutting it into lengths… I choose 16”.

Then you spilt it with a maul or axe or log splitter.

We got the healthcare thing sorted out for Dr. Tyler. We think. There certainly isn't much left there, so any turn-around will be headed towards the order of miraculous. We rate checking out this month much more likely. I do know that we, as a family around here, have managed to tighten up a bit, so that's been a welcome change. I guess. My Inner Sceptic says that it's temporary, but I'll at least leave a forwarding address when I move Out West.


The Executive Director of the facility where she's going is adorable. That makes talking to her way easier. Her heart is in the right place, and I'd like to inspect to see if other bits are properly located as well . . . .

Woke up way too early today. Momma has her procedure scheduled for noon, but they told her to stand by, they might work her in early. Pick a time and stick to it…good grief.

We were trying to remember how it went the last time and I don’t remember it being too big a deal. In and out of there in a couple of hours. She did spend the night though…this time it’s outpatient.

Might be wrapped up with everything over the next couple of days, so If I don’t drop in, everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Weird power outage. Only one phase of the three is down, and we're on it! I know they're working on it, they just tried to close the switch, but it isn't sticking. So there's got to be a hard short on the line.

I'm not going to crack generators out unless we really need them. Although, I might have to just to get the tractor out to clear snow.

Snow was over knee deep a few hours ago, and the few places we shoveled are filled back in flat again.

The good news is that it's only supposed to snow for the next 7 days. LOL

The wind wreaked havoc on trees and semis. The semis had a hard time staying in there lane.

This is not a good weekend for a holiday in this State.
