Urgh… speaking of health troubles, my buddy w MS is back in the hospital. He got dizzy and light headed from a UTI and he fell. They discovered several blood clots in his lungs there… he is immobile so I guess this is why it’s happening. I was a little worried that him being immobile may do that (he has a history of bcz) or get bed sores.

I am seriously worried for him. Will he ever be able to get back home? Will he require ft care (like a nursing home)?

This shit we take for granted… like just walking and moving…

I'm so sorry for your friend, W! MS can be a relentless disease. Depending on the type of MS he has and how quickly it is progressing, he may be looking a having to use a wheelchair soon and ultimately full time care. This would be worst case.

Well, crap, I thought I had responded this morning. Last night‘s hotel sucked. No hot water this morning, and the coffee was about as exciting as tepid urine. Last night was getting ready for winter. Today the radio is saying 20 to 30 inches of snow by Thursday. I think they're trying to scare us (It's working!). We were going to drive south for Thursday, but based on the weather we're opting to stay home this year.

I have several relatives for whom that's fear of the unknown is just too much. They psyche themselves out and then stop going.

We got the healthcare thing sorted out for Dr. Tyler. We think. There certainly isn't much left there, so any turn-around will be headed towards the order of miraculous. We rate checking out this month much more likely. I do know that we, as a family around here, have managed to tighten up a bit, so that's been a welcome change. I guess. My Inner Sceptic says that it's temporary, but I'll at least leave a forwarding address when I move Out West.


The Executive Director of the facility where she's going is adorable. That makes talking to her way easier. Her heart is in the right place, and I'd like to inspect to see if other bits are properly located as well . . . .

There has been a bit of distance over the last several decades. It would be nice to set aside all that and move on more like friends, like the people I have seeded my life with who make things better and brighter.

He is in tough shape. They removed more clots from his knees.

He has no use of his legs now. One of his arms is maybe 50%z He will likely need FT care… it’s heart breaking.
