Wow! Sounds like a helluva feast!Starters were a veggie tray, w/sweet pickles and olives, deviled eggs w/bacon.
Mains were spiral cut, glazed ham and a stuffed turkey.
Sides were green bean casserole, a crazy good potato casserole (recipe taken from a coworker's wife)... awesome squash and zucchini fingers, gravy, Hawaiian rolls and cranberry sauce.
Desserts were apple, pumpkin and pecan pies and some of my Goddess's homemade Zucchini bread that She baked for us...
We ATE!!!
I am no nurse.A question for you wonderful nurses here (or anyone with knowledge/experience on this)
I have a problem. I just started a new (to me) HRT last Saturday. It's the "T" injection, prior to returning to the boat on the following Tuesday.
At 6'1" approximately 165 lbs, my legs are skinny AF and I basically don't have an ass, so I used my inner, right thigh.
Everything seemed fine for the first couple of days, with no more soreness than getting a Tetanus booster in the arm.
By day three, it was getting pretty intense and now, the damn leg is pretty much unusable.
The increased swelling/inflammation has coincided with the pain and there is mild to moderate redness on an area about the size of my hand.
The swelling surrounding the infection site is firm/harder than the other tissue, but the "swelling" near the back of my knee is softer and feels more like fluid. The lack of usability and pain (which I have a very high tolerance to) are the most troubling part, in addition to the condition worsening, rather than improving.
I felt like I was very "clean" about the process, thoroughly washing first, then a profuse alcohol washing, so I wasn't really thinking it would be infection.
My initial thought (and my captain's) is that I hit a lymph node or part of that system (or something else that I shouldn't have)
I guess my question is, has anyone ever heard of that happening, if so is there anything I can do about it, or do I just have to ride this one out?
Thanks in advance, as any help would be greatly appreciated!
You're quite welcome!Yum and thanks
You’re getting five inches??? Heh hehGood morning denizens of the diner. How do you feel after Thanksgiving?
My breakfast was a piece of quiche. I need some fruit. And more coffee.
It’s windy and cold. We are expecting 5 inches of snow (note to Wonderer, measure the depth of snow not lengthof . . .).

During the holidays, I'd be pressed to get it looked at on dry land.I am no nurse.
But I play one on TV.
I would just say that you should have it looked at by a med professional. Not easy I know, cuz your in the middle of the ocean.
Does the red area feel hot? If so that may be a clue that it’s infected.
To answer your question…Good morning denizens of the diner. How do you feel after Thanksgiving?

I am back from lunch and watching football. There was lots of turkey and all the trimmings. I just finished off the pie. After the game it’s walking the old dog who has nine lives.
It’s a good game by banged up teams. I wished the NFL was not a race of teams with less attrition.
I’d be hard pressed to tell you take the antibiotics.During the holidays, I'd be pressed to get it looked at on dry land.
I haven't really noticed heat (to the touch) but its internal pain has one helluva burning sensation.
I do carry a big bottle of antibiotics and could start slamming them, but I hate to if that's not the problem...
But it might be the best thing to do.
Thanks, Brother!
I love that beautiful caramelization that She gets on it.... seeing me off to work, with fresh baked goodies, is another one of my Goddess's many "Love Languages."Looks good!!
