What does your leg look like below the swelling? Is it a normal color? Press on your foot to blanch then count the seconds it takes to become the normal color 3-5 seconds is good.

My grandfather was out running errands and came home for lunch, had a heart attack in his front hall and checked out within the hour. I have the chair he sat in as he died. Ethyl sharpens her claws in the ugly fabric. I may get it covered in something decent one day.

I haven't used a tape measure, which would be simple enough, but I've used both hands, fingertips to thumb and it's a couple inches difference at the most.

The thigh to the knee is just slightly red, but uniform, no splotches or rash.... like a mild sunburn.

That sounds like mild swelling. Have you been taking anything for pain? Ibuprofen, advil, or Tylenol would be fine to take. I wouldn't take the prednisone without talking to a provider.

Did you do the press test? It's called capillary refill. We use it to determine the health of the circulation.

My advice to young folks at work discouraged because of work place nonsense, be a persistent but pleasant pest! It worked for me.

I just did/do their part, too, so it won't fuck with what I'm trying to get done.
