The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Today was spent cutting up logs, loading them on our trailer and moving them down to the log splitter. We split about 1/3 of it, maybe a cord. For dead ash, it was surprisingly wet. It’ll have to season for a few months. It dries quickly and I’ll kiln dry some of it too.

I think im gonna run out of firewood this year.

21,000 steps.

The missus and i made an outdoor fire, drank a Pabst and also got some local pizza.

I took 1/2 of a 5 mg edible. Def helping my back pain tonite .

I asked Dr Google.

No, Lake Champlain is not one of the five Great Lakes, although it was briefly designated as the "sixth Great Lake" in 1998 to allow for federal research funding. The lakes that officially form the Great Lakes are Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, and Ontario.

Brief designation:
In 1998, a bill was passed that included Lake Champlain as a Great Lake for the purpose of accessing federal funds for the National Sea Grant College Program
You missed Lake St. Clair

L2 jr there with all this info

I was fishing with a friend of mine on Lake Superior. It was May and sunny and maybe 65°.

Outta nowhere, it got super windy and the temperature plummeted nearly 20° in about 30 -40 mins. We came back to the boat ramp. It was kinda scary - it all happened so quickly.
I’ve always found Lake Superior to be foreboding. I’ll swim almost anywhere and all the Great Lakes, but not Superior. I stay on shore.

Confirmed by the gutter cleaners who were two of her students and the medics. She was in her late 80s at that point, still worked…
I come from tenacious stock.
My dad and I were tight! He was my first stop when I'd get home from the boat and we'd go get breakfast... the man NEVER turned me down a single time!

I got there after one long hitch and noticed lots of pine needles on the roof, so I went and got the ladder to deal with it... he walks outside with that permanent cup of coffee in his hand and stops me. He was pretty adamant about it too, that he was the "only one who knew just where to step and stand on that old roof."
He was pushing 80 at that time....
