I always try to sneak the word "deleterious" into strongly worded emails/messages/missives.


Such as "your disappointing chips had a deleterious effect on my snacking experience" or some such nonsense.

Hello everyone.. Spent the afternoon wrapping presents and I have to say I am TERRIBLE at it. And it's a lot of work but I got it done without any injury to my physical self..

I had a busyish day. Nowhere near as busy as @Wonderer67 or even @Missk_2022! But I'm steadily making progress. My kids will be here in 2 weeks! I'm so excited!

The tree is done. I made some glass globe ornaments; finished them today. Some went on the tree, some got packed up as presents. I also replaced the ribbon on two wreaths I made long ago. They were looking their age! Did a bit of cleaning up in the garage. Put the outside light boxes in their rack.

No kidding! I’m in awe. As the offspring of a Christmas Queen, I know quality work! I copied the pix and going to show it to momma while we’re on our doctor trip mañana. She’s bummed she can’t do what she normally does this year.

Finally half-assed caught up waiting on SWMBO to get out of my way in the kitchen. Found a Tuscan beef recipe that calls for simmering the meat in a whole bottle of wine for a couple-three hours. It’s cold, it’s the perfect meal for a cold night. Will pass along if it’s awe inspiring.

Since we’re all in the spirit…or getting there, I know it’s gauche to ask for Christmas presents…but I thought I’d drop a little hint…how bout that?

Ten pages behind. Not gonna catch up today.

We got a critter in the attic. Our exterminator came over and he and I rooted around…didn’t find dropping or any sign of tunneling. So, we either have a boog’ns in the attic or something has made it its home? Spent the better part of yesterday cutting back trees and looking for entry points…none found, but the landscaping looks great! Bonus an overgrown Holy Tree got clipped and I’m gonna make some Christmas decorations with the clippings and red berries.

SWMBO came flying down the stairs this morning in a panic, so we looked and listened. I swear it sounded like a bear up there! Literally something walking…not scurrying…heavy sounding steps….

Time to lock and load…

Everyone have a great Sunday, stay warm, recover from illness and surgeries, and drive safe out there. it’s a mad mad a mad world…

I opted to avoid the computer this weekend, and suddenly I'm 10 pages behind!

Spent some time messing with little projects in the shop. A little time sleeping in, and some relaxing. However, this evening I'm suddenly feeling the sore throat the kiddo was complaining about the other day. So, probably wind down early and get some extra rest.

It's been snowing since Thanksgiving. Even the birds outside are saying f-this!
