The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I feel the same way about setting up tv(s). I was involved in tech my whole career, but keeping up with it, gets tiring, and my wife auto. turns it all over to me, and it's not the job I've signed up for.
When i retired, I was senior editor for a technical book publication in Philadelphia, PA. That was my career. Now I don't want to look at Technical books...

You should see America's Funniest Videos on my new 75 inch Samsung TV

There is not a wall large enough for a 75" television in my entire place
Surprisingly, my nephew at our Thanksgiving dinner, informed me that his brother, is appearing on the Witcher season. I haven't seen it yet, think he said it's on Netfix? My other nephew, his brother, is a little person, and has been fairly successful in his acting career.
Glad it's working out for them. That's a challenging industry.
Interwebs confirm Netflix for The Witcher
What’s the weather like in Texas?
It's cold as hell up here in Ohio 33 F
With the wind chill, you're 30 degrees warmer than me 🥶

When my parents were alive, I was their de facto tech support... VCR, DVD, TV, Computer, Microwave, Car Clock... comprehensive tech services :ROFLMAO:
It has been muggy here
Yikes! Does that mean there's fog going along with the muggy? No bueno!!
I put my old one in the bedroom. I won't need glasses anymore to see it.
Forgot about this... I'm a City Mouse from a large family. I'm used to blocking out all sorts of noises. But being single for so long, I'm used to a very quiet home.

The exception is bedtime. I need something to distract my brain so I can fall off to sleep. So I have a tablet that plays a movie or other show that I've seen before. Sometimes I tune in to TubiTV.com and pick the starting show.

That's what I did last night. At one point, as I was waking up my brain was starting to tune into the show playing.

I only know a few words in a couple of languages. My brain only got "Asian" while I was still mostly sleeping... and that covers a LOT of territory.

So... I started dreaming in Korean. Very, very basic Korean mind you. Only to come fully awake and realize "That's Japanese" :ROFLMAO:

Was a fun, interesting way to wake up. LOL

You have your phone, tablet, computer...you don't need a TV
However, I'm married and Lady K needs a TV and my eyes aren't what they used to be so I need big.
And I'm on Social security & a pension from my former employer, so I can afford it, along with cable services.
I use my phone for calls and texting I don't have a tablet I have my computer.. There is nothing wrong with you having a new big TV I say good for you..

My brain is off-wired for standard geometry... but I can manage a decent square, rectangle, or oval twist-tie (the one's that look like a Brach's soft toffee shape)

My BFF swears by Julia Child's Beef Bourguignon recipe... there's lots of wine and time in that one, too

I think I've heard of it? That's a win for me.
What with no TV and all

Same - time to floss, brush, and bed down.

I'd love a bunch of land to create a bubble of safety. But it's gonna need a dome to protect the air supply, too.

Sounds like tomorrow is Medical Monday
Wishing eveyone hassle-free visits and good test results and/or report cards 🫂

Wise idea... take care... the Quademic of Viruses is back again. Nasty bits of work - each of them
We’ve actually made that one. It took two days if I remember. Came out good but I like the one they make at a restaurant we visit when we go to concerts in RDU. Usually a Sunday brunch kind of deal…Not as much work, and I swear they have the best coffee this side of the pond!

I hope that's 99% a put-on because if not?
Darwin Awards all around
All too real…or so I’ve heard!

Have a friend who decided he wanted to be a blue water sailor and bought a 35” sailboat. Set sail for a trip from NC to Nassau. Offshore of Savannah out about 100miles they get into a storm and the tiny ship was tossed like the vid. My friend elevated and smacked his melon on something, got a concussion, and they ended up having to high tail it to Charleston.

Paid the crew to take it up the intracoastal and promptly put her up for sale!

I used to have these flights of fancy where I wanted to do some blue water sailing but then started watching some vids and it cured me of that.

Did I mention I know just enough about sailing to be dangerous?

Hello everyone.. Spent the afternoon wrapping presents and I have to say I am TERRIBLE at it. And it's a lot of work but I got it done without any injury to my physical self..
The first present I wrap is beautifully finished and looks fantastic? Then I realise that it's taken me 10 minutes and I look at the remaining pile of gifts and think "I am not prepared to devote that much of my precious time, to such a pointless task, when the recipients will simply rip the wrapping to pieces when opening their presents."
If you get the last gift I wrapped, you would swear that the family pet had savaged it.
