The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I wish to fuck, quite literally, that it were possible to search old cars for sale by year and have the function leave out Fords. They made so damned many of them that you have to sieve through them to find the real cars.

Ugh. Time to call it a day, again. It's still spitting snow, damn it. Oh well. We just may not be in much of a hurry tomorrow is all. We'll see what there is when we get up in the morning. Mostly packed, so that's good.

Hostile banana, or something like that.

I wish to fuck too.

Like every five minutes!

Sailing. One of those endeavors that was freedom and adventure for a those of past generations. A way of life before they switched from sails to steam (to borrow a line from Jimmy Buffet,) and even paid the bills on the Chesapeake for oyster men sailing the Skipjacks till the late ‘70’s.

I learned to sail on small Sunfish and Hobie Cat’s that littered the beaches when I was growing up. If you were out you could ask for a ride and nobody ever refused. When I was stationed in Germany we vacationed on Lake Chiemsee in Bavaria. I sailed a 7m boat that was supposedly owned by Herman Goering.

Now you have to belong to a yacht club or just grow up around sailors. For us dreamers it’s a trap! There is so much you have to learn, especially if you want to do any blue water sailing. I should say you better know!

Here’s a tell. Compare a 40’ used powerboat to a similar sailboat. The price difference will shock you. So many people (dreamers like me) run out and buy one on a whim and then realize how much work and upkeep and knowledge it takes to sail the damn thing…and the used market is glutted!

What’s the old adage? If you want to sail, find a friend who owns a boat!🤣

These vessels were used to harvest oyster out of the bay. Right through the Carter administration. Now they’re just relics that sail in regatta’s out of Annapolis and Baltimore. They have beautiful lines though!
My dad pronounced oyster, “ersteh.” 😂

How are you feeling hun?
Today was rough... i survived though. I had to leave work and go to my parents to solve a problem. Xmas is coming quick and i want to sleep sleep sleep...
I did some cookies. Made roll out dough to bake tomorrow. Mm cookies cashew white chocolate and coconut lime shortbread.... time is just going so fast

Clunky IMO, but short of exporting to Excel and filtering, here's what the web says:

While most car search platforms primarily use inclusion filters, some offer a user interface that facilitates a type of direct exclusion, removing the need for the manual keyword "hack".
The primary way to achieve a "direct exclude filter" in a graphical user interface (GUI) is through multi-select inclusion, which effectively functions as an exclusion filter for the unselected items.
Here are the websites and apps that allow this:
  • Hemmings:
    • The website has extensive, itemized checkboxes for every make. You can select all the makes you are interested in and simply leave unchecked the makes you want to avoid (e.g., Ford). This provides the exact outcome of a direct exclusion filter without requiring negative keywords.
    • This is the most common and user-friendly way marketplaces implement "exclusion" functionality within a structured filter menu.
  • AutoTrader Classics / Classics on Autotrader:
    • Similar to Hemmings, these sites offer a comprehensive list of makes and models within their filtering options. You can manually select all the desired makes, effectively excluding the rest.
  • Cars.com / CarMax:
    • These mainstream used car sites have robust filtering systems by make and model. While they focus on the modern used car market, their interface allows for multi-selection to filter exactly which makes you want to see. The depth of their classic car inventory may be less than Hemmings, but their filtering UI is effective.
In summary, look for interfaces that provide a comprehensive list of all makes with checkboxes. By selecting all the ones you want except Ford, you achieve a direct exclusion filter result in the UI.

AutoTempest was also mentioned as a site for car sale searches.

Happy Hunting!
