And yet "bars" remain in the Top 10 Best Places to Meet Someone to Date
This song is so multi-purpose!Anybody not happy with their job?
Girl, same!I am tired
I call "preppies"... Yuppy larvae.
I did... when I was driving and trying to figure out where in the hell I wasThat is a great idea.
The lake to the East was Lake Huron and to the West was Michigan and North was Superior and to the South . . . who cares?
Hazard Pay? Well, there should be.Rest, girl, rest!!!
I'm tired too... the ride in was like that video OM posted... chit was flying everywhere.
I used to live walking distance from work. A good 30-40 minutes on a clear day but still doable.Fawkin sneaux. Minus two C. Craptastic. It'll be a trip in the morning, and Wat won't be in any hurry to get to Worktown, not in this shit.
19 F (above) with -2 F (below) wind chill checking in... oh, and snow. Did I mention snow? The big chill is going around!
Sleep is good medicine. Take care so you recover fully!Still feeling wiped out from this bug. Gonna wind down early again.
Hope you all have a good night.
Try to rest when you can... busy time of year but as @Wonderer67 kindly pointed out:Today was rough... i survived though.
You’ve just had major surgery!
You need to make the time!Yeah...i dont have time for this shit...
Rest is almost always the better choice! It was a "time factor"... coming down to a choice of food or rest, so I opted for the rest.
BTW, it was a good choice, as I awoke to a huge, excellent potroast!
Thanks, Wat! I'll take that under advisement. I'll need to get some GI Joes and camo tents to create an army base!I do like the tiny village.
Maybe a Panzer IV with a winter camo paint job . . . .
It's hard to keep your body in sync when you're switching from nights to days. I did that weekly when I was in grad school. I had one 24 hour day/week because I was working full time and going to school full time. This is my "switch day" where I do the flip from nights to days... biorhythms? not so much.![]()
I've been tired of late. This whole process is tiring. At least we turned one page and now the end is in sight.
The cats went back to bed.
She meant hurts for YOU; necessary for HER!An ex told me this long ago. She lied!![]()
Thank you, NC!You have beautiful baubles!
Wise words, OM!SUNDAY: Try to enjoy just being alive for the day, maybe just several hours or whatever time you can spare. Take that time to think, to regenerate, be selfish and do it for you. You're the most important person in your life. If you're not 100% you can't look after, help or love someone else who needs you. Those in your life as well as us here.... Love yourself, So others can love you too!!!!
How is he? You're a good friend, W!I just woke up to this post.
Great advice from a great lady!
I will be visiting my friend in the hospital. He cannot move. Don’t take anything for granted. Like walking, writing your signature. Eating. Texting.
Thanks, W!Wow!!! That’s really impressive!!
That's so sad! I was fortunate in that my husband's will left everything to me and WA is a community property state so I would get everything anyway. My wife and her are really good friends. That’s how I got to know the husband. And Mrs wonderer is a widower too, so she’s been good support. They see each other weekly and garden and helps her out.
The actual settling of the estate has been a shit show. I won’t go into details. It’s bad.
Thank you, T!All I can think to say is WOW
This looks like Leavenworth! It's a little Bavarian-like town in central WA. They have Christmas pretty much year round there!Ten pages behind. Not gonna catch up today.
We got a critter in the attic. Our exterminator came over and he and I rooted around…didn’t find dropping or any sign of tunneling. So, we either have a boog’ns in the attic or something has made it its home? Spent the better part of yesterday cutting back trees and looking for entry points…none found, but the landscaping looks great! Bonus an overgrown Holy Tree got clipped and I’m gonna make some Christmas decorations with the clippings and red berries.
SWMBO came flying down the stairs this morning in a panic, so we looked and listened. I swear it sounded like a bear up there! Literally something walking…not scurrying…heavy sounding steps….
Time to lock and load…
Everyone have a great Sunday, stay warm, recover from illness and surgeries, and drive safe out there. it’s a mad mad a mad world…

We have no age limits. Most of us just happen to be "seasoned!" This is our own little fun corner of Lit. If you find it to your liking, pull up a bar stool and hang out with us.How am I on here 20+ years and just seeing this thread for the first time? Maybe I've aged out, since I just hit the big 7 5.

How did the gifts fare? The paper? How many tape balls did you make?Hello everyone.. Spent the afternoon wrapping presents and I have to say I am TERRIBLE at it. And it's a lot of work but I got it done without any injury to my physical self..
Disturbed sleep is one of the worst things for your health, especially as we get older. It's hard to keep your body in sync when you're switching from nights to days. I did that weekly when I was in grad school. I had one 24 hour day/week because I was working full time and going to school full time.
