Just put a new roof on. A new aluminum flue cover. And putting in the new windows in January. View attachment 2586437

Just be careful. I may appoint you to outlive me, and you'll have an easier time doing that if you're not all broken to pieces.

Also weed burning, and walkway ice melting. Just be careful around the bushes and house.View attachment 2586438View attachment 2586439

We went to NY back in 2022 to collect an anvil engines. I know, quelle surprise. We were coming back West on 90 and saw a pallet of smoke a couple of miles up the road. We got there and it was a raging house fire. That place was fucked. Haven't seen anything like that before or since.

Yeah, and this is the same person telling me about $2K cell phones...

I'll slink back in my corner now, as I just dropped almost half that on a new 6" sander... But I'll still have the sander in 20 years... And there's a Library and slab table to be built...

Murphy showed up at Church one Sunday; Father Ryan almost fell over when he saw him. Murphy had never been to Church in his life.

After the church service, Father Ryan caught up with him and said, "Murphy, I am so glad ya decided to come to Church. What made ya come?"

Murphy said, "I got to be honest with you, Father. A while back, I misplaced me hat and I really, really love that hat. I know that McGlynn had a hat just like mine and I knew he came to Church every Sunday."

"I also knew that he had to take off his hat during the service and figured he would leave it in the back of Church. So, I was going to leave after Communion and steal McGlynn's hat."

The Priest said, "Well, Murphy, I notice that ya didn't steal McGlynn's hat. What changed your mind?"

Murphy replied, "Well, after I heard your Sermon on the Ten Commandments, I decided that I didn't need to steal McGlynn's hat after all."

With a tear in his eye Father Ryan gave Murphy a big smile, grabbed both his hands and said, "After I talked about 'Thou Shalt Not Steal' ya decided you'd rather do without your hat than burn in Hell?"

Murphy slowly shook his head.

"No, Father. After ya talked about 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery', I remembered where I left me hat."

This is the one i was talking about.....
Not enough propane in them little 1lb cylinders. And per pound that's spendy propane as it is!

I haven't priced one of those cylinders in a while. But quick on line check shows 5 to 10 dollars per.

Buying in a 20lb cylinder worth should be closer to $1 per lb. Bulk heating propane was around 2 something a gallon last we bought some. Let's say 2.50, divided by 4.2 lbs per gallon, is around 60 cents a pound, give or take.

My local welding supply refills my 20 and 30 lb tanks pretty cheap when I bring 4 at a time. Around a buck a pound, the other summer.

I need one of those big weed burners. I'll pipe up to the feed in the garage for preheating welding project that need it. One of these days. Lol

Just went the other day to Modern Gas in Reeders, PA. Rt. 715. 20 lb. Cylinder $9.95 cash $10.25 charge. I filled a 60 lb. Cylinder for $31.00

Good evening. Not trying to catch up. It does look like lots of discussion about ladders and roofs. At my age, I certainly am looking at a condo. It’s better for you younger people to be on roofs and cleaning gutters.

I am pretty active and healthy but the bones aren’t as flexible as they used to be.

Wat doesn't bounce as high as he used to.

Got the west side bush-hogged after he got the bushhog repaired and reinstalled. The crotchety old tractor ran happily enough, and the grass was dry so we mowed in 2nd gear, which was just a bit bouncy. It was funny to look across the street and to see the ducks in the pasture. They travel almost as one. I'm not sure who does the thinking/leading, but maybe they share a couple of brain cells and that gets it done. They really do cover some territory in their daily walkabouts. I suppose that they find small bugs or the like to snack on as they forage. The big critters don't seem to mind them - well, the prey-type big critters. I'm not sure they'd fare all that well with Daisy out and about.

Daisy is a cold blooded killer
She is a good dog doing dog things
And loves her people

Daisy and Fred are the stone killers around here. I think that Daisy has showed Beau a thing or two 'bout killin'. I'm sure that the other cats could figure out the killin' thing.

Speakin' of, I have dealt with some of the hardware today. That needed doin', too.

Nice...getting stuff done... and only thing dying is things that need dying...just ask daisy ...she will tell u

Frickin allergies are wild. Ever have them trigger a fight or flight type response???
Unfortunately I default to fight mode...
Gotta move slow and calm and deliberate when that happens.

Interesting day today. I tend to be more of a hunter, but a bit of today was watching offspring and mom do the gatherer thing. They can cover stores, shelves, and racks faster than I can think. I'm 100% convinced the sexes are wired differently.
I just pushed the cart.

Until the wood working store. But that was an in and out. Target sighted, acquired, and back out. At least they got a few minutes of looking around a store with zero interesting things to them... 😆

Anyway, winding down here. Back on the road again tomorrow. Hope you all have a great night.

I think it is too. These constant upgrades are a revenue stream for them. They don’t stand by their product anymore.

“Planned obsolescence.”
I'm sick and tired of just being a source of blood for these blood suckers. We're nothing more than a revenge stream, period. It's really bad when you live past the edge of what they care about. We pay extra money, for crappier service, have zero customer service, and zero recourse when things fail.

When I got this phone, the two teenage sales associates were insulting me to "behind" my back during the transfer. They were using "code", but didn't realize I understood what they were doing. I ignored it just to get out of there. But if it happens again, I might not be able to resist the urge to unload on them...
