My granddaughter and our friends' daughter (10 and 9 respectively) came and spent a play night together.
They met about a year ago and really hit it off!
We have two small "loft rooms" and gave them one to fix up for themselves.
They're super excited and already working on how they plan to decorate it!
I am pretty excited about giving them the opportunity to build a "lifelong friendship."

Time to wind down here. Lazy-ish day. Went out for dinner, and then to the store. Bumped into a neighbor we never see, and ended up BS'n in the store for a good 45 minutes.

Then came home and finished up a small project with three 8-1/2 inch caulks. (The 12 yr old in me has been giggling all evening...)




Now I'm all cozy warm in med and feeling the urge to drift off.

That's a tough one... especially before bed. I hate when it happens at bedtime.
Doesn't always work, but I try the Peanut Butter Trick the Diabetes Nurse told me.

1 Tablespoon of Peanut Butter... eat it really slowly... little nibbles and licks. When you're done, if you're still hungry then it's true hunger and if not... you go to bed.

Most of the time it works so long as I am eating properly and not waiting too long between meals.
