Checking in. Long days of meetings, but fun dinner and drinks w crazy Brits I work with.

Another early meeting today.

And bad sleep last nite. hate sleeping in hotels.

Weather forecast was way off. Less than an inch became 4 inches of snow. It’s cold blowing snow too. My dog begged to go out. Once outside he stood dazed as if he was saying “What?” .

I have two hematologists. I could do a coffee table of places where I’ve bled.Lol
If I can’t stop bleeding myself and need help, it usually means I need vitamin K or some other intervention.

I can't imagine your trials and tribulations. I do have a low platelet count but I do stop bleeding.

Glad you have enough clotting factors not to have to deal with that, too.

I’ve been this way all My life, so it’s just normal to me. Even my Mcas stuff was, fir examples I didn’t find out until I was 53 that other people don’t get hives or splotches after taking a shower and you can prevent them with medication.
At my first appointment with The mass cell specialist, he would ask me these questions, like does this happen and I’d answer yeah but that’s normal, and he’d say not normal. This went on for like 30 minutes. I left the appointment totally shocked that I was so different for the norm because I guess I self defined normal by myself.
I also have big platelets because they won’t die on time. I usually take about 20 mins to clot on a good size cut, I gave myself 2 hrs since I actually removed part of my thumb, and then called for help.

I think I’ll stay a while longer…this place is starting to grow on me.

You know how you tell an actor break a leg instead of good luck?

I fell off the stage in knickers (short pants that stop above the knee) and landed on a screw. It split my knee cap in half and threaded

Yeah, it's interesting when you finally figure out no one else has the reactions you have.

I remember thinking, Wait! You're not cramped up all the time, and you don't get dizzy in the woods in the fall? (Or fill in the blank with a dozen other reactions...)

It was rough. There was a kinda funny "cozy mystery" moment where the phrase "is there a doctor in the house?" Got used.

And then we had to call the prop master for a screwdriver.

We have a number of barks cold scale.

If the bark doesn't happen, it's nice out.
If there is one bark to come in, it's cool out.
If there are two barks to come in, it's darned cold out!
Three barks means is below zero. That's roughly translated to: "LET ME IN, RIGHT NOW!"

I got ghiradelli fir chocolate pistachio paste and the crunchy stuff i cant spell

I will summarize:
1. No religion
2. No politics
3. No drama
4. No hitting on the women-- dm the person if interested.... if they don't respond.... there is your answer.
5. For God sake read a profile before you dm the wrong person.
6. If your first post is heavy on the innuendo ..... you need to slow your roll

This thread is like the bar cheers or the corner coffee shop. We are FRIENDS here and not like other threads...we are fiercely protective of the vibe and eachother. If this sounds like a place you would like, stick around.... if not there are eleventy billion other threads that will suit your needs.
