Saw the Nurse Practitioner yesterday for my follow up on a couple of issues: weight loss and diabetes. I am back to normal weight. And all my blood work is pretty good for someone of my age.

I need to get an X-ray of my ankle to check for any abnormalities.

Otherwise I would say I am doing well.

Take care those south of me as the snow and ice is coming your way.

Does a bone chip only hurt periodically? I can walk around the house ok. But it seems when I go for a more vigorous walk indoors, it starts hurting.

Yesterday was recovery day. Today, knocked out some chores and only managed a little over 2 miles but it was something. It was 29 out this morning…surprisingly a lot of folks out this morning.

Will check in on and off today.

It's an honor and a privilege... I just hope I can live up to it, as I typically don't "drive" the boat, I just make sure that everything is running and available!


The hitch is dragging, like crazy, sitting at the dock, waiting for our rig to be put on location (which is delayed again, due to this upcoming storm)

Doing well my friend! My hitch, or “tour”, as we call them, was an extended stay in the South Pacific due to some maintenance issues. I’ll take it! .

Those little gems don’t come around often, so you have to enjoy them when you get them.

Hope your hitch picks up a bit. Hang in there, you’ll be on the way home to the Goddess before you know it!

Super cold for here in VA this weekend too. Dry with a foot of snow coming.
Drink lots of water. Keep your personal water table high and it will hurt less.
I have a ham and will make hoppin' johns again, since they were so good last time. I have some almost as good as 9th and Christian hot Italian sausage. Need to find veal and some nice heirloom tomatoes. A pot of gravy on the stove will warm another day. And the pasta will burn off shoveling in 10 or teen degree temps. If I find the right price I am thinking 2 chickens to smoke. One to eat and one for broth. I got stuff I can make cookies. A good salad for in between. Oranges Apples bagels salmon spring onions...
Aside from shoveling snow and running the smoker I am looking forward to these few days. Too bad all the football teams still in the playoffs don't mater. I'm guessing Patriots and Seahawks. Wonder what the over is going to be?

Yes housework counts as exorcise. Specially laundry for me. The washer and dryer are on the base floor with the utilities. I live on the second and third.
The way I put off cleaning up enough to vacuum and actually vacuuming, I count that as exorcise too. I'm better in the kitchen, but don't think standing counts as an exorcise.
