The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

They have excellent car shows there. Ford nationals Dodge nationals Chevy nationals pick up truck show, I think they might even have an old timey car show.

And it’s only about two hours from our place.

The fall national AACA meet in Hershey is a long-time classic. There are all kinds of (aging) people who go there like an annual pilgrimage. Wat would look at it like a Hajj - probably one and done.

I'm sure that it's all peopley an' shit. ETM.

It looks like Weasel town is a-gonna get plastered. And if I read the notice/email sent out by the regional manager correctly, she has pushed my schedule off one week. It's not really in her purview of powers, but it's a hill that Wat isn't willing to die on. It's still looking like Snowmageddon any way you slice it.
You are getting snow and we are getting the danger of extreme cold. I am not sure which is worse.

The Torino Fairlane club had a national meet there. It was a lot of fun.

Different event, but a great time

OK, so sometimes I geek out.
Technically they're all crosses between the Citron, True Mandarin, and Pomello. :D
And since citrus fruits are incredibly self fertile, a lot of varieties have been created through gamma or neutron radiation! 🤯
I was watching a show about something and they showed how they would graft one type of apple on to a tree of another type to help propagate the other apple it was cool

Apples NEED to cross pollinate, or you don't get any fruit. But the seeds of that contains are all different, like parents having children. None of the children are the same as the parent. Which means any variety of an apple is a clone. Granny smith apples are all clones of the first granny smith tree, etc.

Typically you clone an apply by cutting a branch (or a bud) and putting it onto a different piece of root stock. Root stock is chosen to help the tree grow, be tolerant to diseases, and also determine the size of the tree. Grafting is not hard to do, and is very old technique (Some accounts mention it close to 2500 years ago).
Some of the trees here I grafted to get copies of wild trees. Like I said, I like to geek out...
