I have one innate skill.

I can estimate weight, distance and time (metric or imperial), like its no one’s business.

I've never learned this skill. It's annoying not to have a sense of certain, common distances.

I am getting in to changing recipes to make new stuff

I had something similar happen with an old can of green beans once. I did pitch them.

I can’t convert metrics. Mental block or lexdysia. My brother is always in Canada or Mexico. I tend to ask “is that good” when the say the temp. He still cooks with cups and t-spoons unless he is using a scale.

I can do it one way…forward and only for temps. I hear the scientists laughing from here…

If it’s 15 degrees C…Double it=30, then add 30=60, then subtract 1 or 2…depending on source= 59d F

That's mostly what I was told the year I studied in Scotland

Multiply by 2 and add 32 = ballpark idea of temp

You guys have heard me whining for snow about umpteen weeks now... I know the snow here is different. It's so cold it isn't slippery. Really cold snow crystals stay sharp, and is easier to drive on. That's why you have to change your ski wax!

This shit turns miserable when it starts melting. Most of you are already in the "starts melting" phase.

Not a magic wand but have you tried an acupressure clip for the hand like Aculief?

For me, it can help take the edge off headaches below migraine status.
