I didn't take it as judging... we've had the "what's tomato gravy" question before.

Midwest here... never heard red sauce called gravy.
But @Wonderer67 and some others are East Coast and have edumacated us.

He even shared a recipe:

several spoonies have made his recipe - or one of their own - and "gravy" is mentioned often at the Cafe

I've heard of Red Eye Gravy and know enough that it's different... but have never had it and will be looking it up once I post this.

Lots of food talk - I'm always learning something new about food and cooking here.

Maybe cold solder joints. Pretty common in this older stuff. If you can see the bottom of the circuit boards, look for any cracks or other issues around pins of components going into the circuit boards.

Usually bigger components with larger leads.

I would really consider changing the caps too.

But if sound does come out of it, even intermittently, that's a good sign. Nothing major has failed.

It totally plays. And plays well most of the time. Sometimes the audio will be super quiet…

When it does that, I jiggle around one of the fuses and it typically kicks back in. It would be cool to have someone refurbish it tho.

Vasiley Zietsev and... sorry, I cant remember the nazi... I dont think he shot through the scope, i thought the reflection on the scope was what drew his aim.
